I am an social media professional/entrepreneur. My partner, Chris, is an environmental consultant who provides emergency services when there is an oil or chemical spill. We landed in Boulder about a year ago and love it. We wanted a home big enough for all of our children to visit, but most of the time, there are just three of us (or even less when one of us travels for work, which is fairly often). So we decided to open up our home to Airbnb visitors.
Our numerous experiences as Airbnb guests were helpful in determining what we liked. We wanted to combine the cozy warmth of a boutique hotel with the peaceful elegance of a sanctuary. We have addressed all of the details that support our vision of a comfortable luxury experience.
Amenities were critical to the experience we wanted to create. We added a new Smart TV that features loads of channels, as this supports you being able to watch your favorite movies/shows . . . even in the middle of the night, if you have a little jet lag/travel insomnia. In addition to movies/TV, there is an abundance of books/CDs in the suite, from Shakespeare to modern fiction to Rumi. Nothing like a little Macbeth to help you nod off after a busy day!
There is also a great office with desk/tempurpedic office chair, a printer/scanner, high speed internet (of course) and a kitchenette, so that professional people will have everything they need. We can also stock the mini fridge/bath with any food stuffs/products that you desire when you come to stay (for a fee).
We have been in Boulder a relatively short time, but know the ins and outs pretty well. We are especially attuned to restaurants, music venues and the abundance of alternative healthcare/lifestyle options in Boulder (we know some great acupuncturists, massage therapists, etc!) If you like to socialize, we may end up on the rooftop deck for a glass of wine. We LOVE the opportunity to meet new people with similar interests, and view that as a benefit of offering our home to Airbnb visitors. We hope to see you as our guest, soon!
