50+ new Dad living in Hawaii and enjoying every minute. Enjoys working with vacation rentals. Really enjoy being a Dad. What a Blessing!
Communication with Bill was straightforward and he left other instructions regarding the tax, garbage, and sheets. Overall, Bamboo Hale was an amazing place to stay.
My wife, children, and I had an amazing trip to Kailua-Kona and a major factor was the house we stayed in. It was clean, well-kept, and plenty of space for our two young kids. The house had all the basics we needed to cook meals, wash clothes, and comfortably relax. Bill was an excellent host. He was extremely responsive and welcoming, and he always met our needs. For example, we needed a pack 'n play (crib) for our 1-year old daughter and he supplied one at no additional charge. It was waiting when we got there and it made our travel experience so much easier. I would certainly recommend this house to others.
Tolles großes, sauberes Zimmer und ein schöner Gemeinschaftsbereich, habe den kurzen Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Vielen Dank.
place was easy to find and had a cool feel to it. didn't see anyone and no cell service but directions were perfect.
Bill did a great job restoring his home. It is extremely pleasant environment. Beautiful location a short distance from valley of the kings. We stocked with supplies. Be aware though, the windows do not block out the sound very well and when we were there the invasive tree frogs were loud as was the baby next-door. So if noise bothers you bring earplugs.
Bill's place is very cute, little house in the middle of the forest. It's so quite and you can hear a lot of birds at night, that's a good experience! Around 8:00 in the morning it begins to be noisy because of buses for Waipio that are parked just in front of the house, but it last just an hour. Then it comes back to the silent world of the forest. You can book horse biking or 4x4 trip to the waipio valley inside the art gallery.
We didn't meet Bill but had some issue at the beginning to book the place, we didn't understand each other very well, but then it was ok.
We had a great one-night stay at Bamboo Hale. Bill accepted our day-of request, which was extremely appreciated. Instructions for getting to and into the house were easy, and the house was well-stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, soap, etc!
This is a cozy little place set well back from any highway or major road. Enjoy the solitude and quiet while being a stone's throw from the Waipio Valley trailhead.
Check-in and Check-out was straight forward and this place is everything you need for a quick overnight if you're hiking in the valley the next day. Wifi was a bit spotty but not surprising in this area. Don't expect any great amenities but the simple necessities to get a good night rest before exploring the area. Inside was clean which was nice. Paying for tax in cash upon arrival was a bit odd.
Everything was exactly as expected. Bill was super responsive with any questions we had and we really enjoyed our stay. Very very quiet neighborhood that's as quiet as can be by sundown. Gorgeous beaches nearby with totally different offerings. All the amenities we needed were there for us and I would absolutely go back again if given the chance. Can't beat the accommodations for the money!
