Greg was a gracious host, and went out of his way to see that we had everything we needed. He was always available, and made us feel as if we were special house guests.
Greg was wonderful. Very helpful and friendly!
We had the most lovely stay at the Seldom Inn in Sconset. Greg was a wonderful host, extremely warm and accommodating - he truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Both the home and the location couldn't have been more perfect, from the artwork, rustic charm, beautiful yard and short walk to the beach it was just wonderful.
Seldom Inn was such a great cottage to stay in for our family of 4. Our young girls loved the sweet bedrooms upstairs, feeling like it was there own little hideaway. I only wish we could have stayed a little longer. It was our first time staying in Siasconset and I really enjoyed the relaxed slower pace of that part of the island. Greg was helpful with anything we needed. Can wait for next summer!
This home exceeded all of our expectations and Greg really went above and beyond most other airbnb proprietors. The historic cottage is filled with vintage treasures and the gigantic yard was perfect for the kids. Walking one block to get an ice cream cone at the market and then running around in the beautiful yard became our nightly ritual.
'Sconset is the dreamiest village, and our super short walk to the beach was easy as pie with our two little ones. This was an extraordinary vacation and we look forward to returning. Thank you to Greg for sharing this exquisite home.
Greg was very friendly and welcoming and was a great host. The house is very quaint and has a beautiful yard. Sconset is lovely and the town is near to the beach and village.
A wonderful and charming cottage in beautiful Sconset! This was my first visit to Nantucket and felt very fortunate that we stayed here and had Greg as our host. He is so kind and thoughtful - made our stay even better by going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and to share this beautiful area with us. I'm now home in Los Angeles wishing I was back at the Seldom Inn. :)
Thank you, Greg!
Our stay at Seldom Inn was terrific. It boasted a perfect location in 'Sconset, plenty of room for our family of five, and a fantastic host in Greg. We loved everything about the rustic charm of the house, the large adjacent yard, and would absolutely jump at the chance to come back again.
We had a wonderful stay at Greg's beautiful Sconset house. The old classic home is in the perfect location and only steps from the beach. The porch is the back is great for meals outside. Greg as a host/owner is as good as it gets. He was extremely flexible and hardworking to make our stay in Sconset the best possible. He was helpful every step of the way and we appreciate his hospitality. We definitely plan to return to his place for another trip.
We spent a week in Greg's wonderful Sconset home in July and it was truly a pleasure to stay in such a beautiful historic Nantucket estate.
The location is perfect for taking a vacation from your car. Located in downtown Sconset, shopping, restaurants, the beach, and the bus stop are just steps away. Greg recommend a great bike shop and we used bicycles to explore the island's beaches and light houses. The cab fare from the airport was only $20 and of course one could always take the bus that runs every hour to Sconset.
The home is museum-like with many period details. The massive beam floors, hardwood doors with brass latches, and steep staircase give this 18th century home an almost nautical feel. It's like stepping back in time when relaxing in the house yet all the modern amenities are there and fully functional. The bed was warm and comfortable and the showers hot and clean with great water pressue! The place to spend your afternoons is in the lush gardens. Plenty of outdoor seating can be used for dining, sunbathing, or just winding down after a day at the beach and enjoying the flowers.
Greg was the perfect host. He had plenty of useful information to offer about the island with great tips about where to shop, dine and visit. His advice and local knowledge really helped us get the most out of our trip. In the end we were looking for ways to move back our flight so we could stay longer! Highly recommended. Don't hesitate to book your dates!
