Great place to stay and awesome family, Layla and Antoine are super friendly, also the house was in the most convenient location for me since I was working in the near area, if you want to go to the City, there's a station to go to Castro St and then take the caltrain from there.
Layla and Antoine are welcoming hosts. The room and the private bath were both very clean. The kitchen and dining are inviting. You can't beat the location, it's close to freeways, light rail, and town. The Stevens Creek Trail is less than a mile away.
We loved every day that we spent at Layla and Antoine's place. The house is beautiful and clean and the location is very convenient for people looking to stay in Mountain View. Layla and Antoine went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. I wanted a place that is good for kids as I have a 7 month old and this place was perfect. Layla was kind enough to share her daughter's stuff with my baby and we had some really good conversations over meals together.
The house is beautiful and the hosts exceptionally friendly. Definitely recommended.
We had a great 10 days staying with Layla and Antoine. The house is beautiful and clean, the location convenient, and the hosts exceptionally friendly. Definitely recommended.
This townhouse was lovely and perfect for our needs during our week stay in Mountain View while my husband was working. The townhouse was comfortable and the kitchen had full amenities. The neighborhood pool was a huge hit with my kids. Layla was very easy to communicate with and made sure to clarify things with us before we arrived and during our stay.
I stayed here longer term for work in the summer and the location was very convenient. It was only about a 15-20 minute bike ride to work and 10 minutes to Castro Street, where there's a lot of nice restaurants and the Caltrain. There's also a lightrail if you don't have a bike.
The room is just like the pictures and the decor of the whole house feels clean and modern but still inviting. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. I'm more of a shy, quiet person, so they let me be, but if you're more outgoing you'll love their company. They're also really good cooks if you have a chance to try their food.
There's also a maid service that comes weekly if you're staying more than a week, which was convenient. And there's also a neighborhood pool that looked nice and well kept but I never tried it.
My only complaint is the neighborhood layout is a bit confusing like a maze so it was hard for Uber/Lyft drivers to find the house and hard for me while on bike at night the first few times. This is no fault of the hosts though, of course, and Uber had no problem when I walked out of the neighborhood first.
Layla and Antoine were very attentive and great hosts. The place was as advertised, which is fantastic. Highly recommended.
We stayed four nights at this home in Mountain View with our two young sons. The townhouse is in a complex and has a lovely heated outdoor pool, hot tub and little play area. It's ideal for families, and the kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils and cookware you need. Whilst it's important to remember this is someone's home and not a hotel, we were a bit disappointed that the carpets had not been vacuumed in the bedrooms. Also it was clear the owners had left the house not intending to have visitors, as they had left their dirty towels in the bathroom, toothbrushes and cosmetics everywhere, and there was no space to hang any clothes, or much space in the fridge for our food. Also parking is extremely limited as the garage is occupied by the owners' cars, and there are only a couple of street parking spots available. We weren't always able to park near the townhouse. The most frustrating thing though was communicating with the owner regarding the reservation. I repeatedly emailed her as we were reserving this home at the last minute so wanted to confirm the reservation asap, however she took several days to respond by which point we had almost given up on it. She also told me we would have to be there by 6.30pm as her housekeeper couldn't stay any later to let us in. I had mentioned we were driving from Seattle with two young kids and that there may be some delay, and asked if, in the event we didn't make it in time, could the housekeeper leave the key hidden somewhere. She told me if we couldn't get there in time then we should cancel our reservation and look for a hotel. Anyway, we made it and had a generally comfortable stay, but her attitude and the frustrating communication marred the trip for me. We rent our home and always take care to make sure visitors are comfortable and able to relax when they stay. I would recommend if you don't mind living among personal clutter, as the house itself is very nice, but I wouldn't stay again.
Layla and Antoine's house is super clean. They are very nice and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay there a lot.
Layla + Antoine were awesome hosts. They're both very smart and their daughter is a cool little girl who is going to be quad-lingual! Their home was 3 minutes away from where I needed to be so it was quite convenient. I had a great conversation with Antoine about technology and his work - I learned a lot from him in the short time I was in town. Their home was clean, very welcoming, and they made a nice breakfast for me. Oh and ask them if they have Organo Gold Latte - that's some good stuff!
Layla is a great caring member of our community. Her and Antoine are a great couple, lots of fun to hang out with! I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay at their place!
I have known Layla and her husband for many years. We met through a mutual friend. Layla is a wonderful person and has become a good friend. She is known for hosting international get togethers where diverse people gather for wine and interesting conversation. She is also a savvy networker and knows more people than I can imagine!
I have been to her place several times and I'm so impressed with how she and her husband have put such great care into creating a beautiful home that represents their diverse backgrounds and tastes. Layla's family and place always make me feel right at home.
I have been friends with Layla for more than 5 years, and she is very friendly, hospitable and helpful. She has lived in other countries on different continents and has traveled to many places. Her husband and she have a bright, meticulous and lovely home.
I've known Layla for about a year via professional meet-ups she has arranged. Layla is very organized, creative and outgoing. She is dependable and she lives up to her commitments. She is selfless in that she considers other people and their needs when she takes actions. For all of these reasons, I think Layla is a trustworthy partner for airbnb interactions. Yours, Marc in San Jose
I've known Layla for 10 years and she is probably the friendliest and most outgoing person I know. She has lived and traveled all over the world and never fails to have interesting stories to tell. Her husband is also a great guy: friendly, welcoming and laid-back.
I have stayed in the guest room and can say it is very comfortable, clean and quiet.
Layla is a great person -- she's welcoming, engaging and a great entertainer. Layla's diverse group of friends reflects on her outgoing personality and her many interests. She's also really generous. As family friends, she and her husband let me stay in their previous home in a pinch when they were out of town years ago. Few friends would agree to that, let alone suggest it.
I live on the same floor as Layla and know both her & her husband. Both are great folks; friendly & smart. I also have been carpooling with Layla (as we both (email hidden)!) over a year and traits I've seen from her are: engaging, friendly, family oriented, outgoing/social, & cares about people. I felt her place is comfortable, bright, modern.
I have known Layla for the past 4 years. Layla is an awesome person! She is very hospitable, clean, and friendly. Oh and she is an amazing cook! Her husband and her daughter are also as nice as her! She is also a hard worker and loves to help people in anyway she can.
I have known Layla for about 2 years. We worked together and stayed in touch long after. She's fantastic and trustworthy. She's very organized and interested in community.
We've had a great time socializing as well, and I
Layla is a great host. I stayed with her and her husband in November of 2010 and I had a great time. Her apartment is very modern and Layla made me feel right at home. I would (and plan on) visiting her again really soon. Thanks Layla!
