I am Elizabeth from Singapore.
Looking forward to hosting you in our lovely little sunny island.
We never saw any host. Elisabeth hasn't been there for months and will not be there for months to come (according to info received by phone, after arrival). We spoke to a person on the phone from the airport who told us the key would be under the mat, together with keys for other guests. The place was quite filthy: dirty shoes in the sink, empty wine bottles in the room; holes in the sheets, and everything covered with grime. We decided we certainly couldn't cook there. It appears that this is simply a boarding house - 5 people stayed while we were there - 2 checked out early and none of us ever saw a host.
The spirit of airbnb - to stay with local families who provide local knowledge certainly was absent.
The location is about 15 min walk from the MRT (subway), but one has to cross busy highways. Once on the MRT everything is easily reachable.
Of our many airbnb experiences, this was the only serious disappointment. I would not stay here again and can't recommend it to anyone.
It's my first experience to use airbnb, and it's really interesting. Elizabeth's house is near to Newton MRT and Bus station, very convenient to downtown. The bed is nice to sleep, i have nice dream all the nights.
Mz yee is a very nice person. We arrived at a midnight, though she waiting (website hidden)`s a pity we have no time to chat more, for staying there only three nights
Elizabeth was a very welcoming and hospitable host and we enjoyed our stay. We were in the room depicted in the photos, and whilst comfortable it no longer looks quite like the photos! We were also surprised to find three other guests although it was good to meet them and that is what AirBnb is about. The bathroom facilities were very poor and in our experience not up to the standard we expected from previous AirBnb. However, the location is very convenient for the city
Elizabeth is so nice that she accepted my last-min booking request. Although we didn't get to chat much but she is a warm and friendly person.
Nice and cozy house, unbeatable location. (near MRT station and hawker center nearby, quiet neighborhood) The room is as you see very spacious and the bed is so comfy that i had good sleep every night. :)
It was my first time in Singapore and Elizabeth made it great. She is very well organized and knows to make your stay very comfortable. Her home is very well located to get a good impression from Singapore just walking around. She gave good tourist information. I can highly recommend to stay with Elizabeth. Nice talks and every time felt welcomed. Thank you very much Elizabeth !
We had a great time at Elizabeth's place! We were there for a week over Christmas. We loved staying in an older Singaporean house on a quiet street, waking up to the sound of tropical birds, being within walking distance of two MRT stations and a great food court, and enjoying the balcony attached to our room. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks, Elizabeth, for hosting us. You are welcome at our place any time!
Elizabeth was a really great host because she's also a traveller and so she knows exactely what YOU need! She can tell you the must-see, must-do and must-eat and so you don't need to do the tourism stuff but see the city as it's really is. And it's wonderful :-) At Christmas Eve she bring dinner for my friend and me and so she really touched our heart and we will never forget about our stay in her clean house!
The place is very convenient, not far from the MRT, near the food court(BTW, the food there is great ).
Elizabeth has been a very friendly and helpful host.
It is overall a good experience. :)
Very pleased with space and location. Singapore is dense and crowded. Elizabeth's space is just off the beaten path, with some elbow room and some greenery. We very much enjoyed the daily short walks from public transport to her home.
The small balcony outside the bedroom we used was also a pleasantry.
She was eager to assist and provided us with numerous suggestions for things to do and places to go.
