Michael's little house is the perfect vacation spot. Immaculately clean and just the right size with lovely outdoor space. Michael was very available for any questions. I would absolutely stay here again.
What a fab trip! Our family of 4 had a comfortable stay in this lovely little house. My husband loved riding one of the bikes to his office in Venice each morning. Everything was very clean and well organized. Michael was friendly and in constant communication to make sure we had what we needed. Many thanks again!
Like how everyone described, Michael is an amazing host. It's our first experience with airbnb and my first time to LA and our stay couldn't be better. The location of the apartment is amazing, with just blocks away to the beach and Main Street. We love everything about the apartment and the best of it, we felt extremely welcome. Michael wasn't there when we arrived but he placed every chance he has to check on us and attended all questions we have. I never had a chance to ask him as I would've guessed he is from hotel industry or service industry cos the way he managed this place definitely better than some hotels we've been. There's travel size toiletries, towels, hairdryer, yoga mat, beach towels, bottle water and chocolate to welcome you, etc. Every single details were very well thought which we didn't expect from the first place. Lovely apartment, great host. We couldn't thank him more for the great memories we had in LA. Thank you Michael!
Great place, perfect location! Could not have asked for a better place to stay on our first trip to Santa Monica. Place is exactly like photo and the bedding is crazy soft!! Walking distance to the beach and pier. We rented a car and always had street parking no problem. Michael was always quick to respond when needed. Will recommend to all our friends and will visit again :)
We had an awesome time here. We travel to Tucson every other month to visit with our kids and grandkids. We have stayed in hotels and this experience was so much better. First off the size of the apt was perfect. With 2 kids and spouses and their combined 3 kids the space we had in the apt was perfect. We were able to cook for them all when they came for visits, which saved a lot of money on eating out. The tenants we met during our stay were all very nice and friendly. Having the pool right outside the door was a nice surprise. All in all we had a wonderful visit with our family and felt so at home. Thanks so much Michael, we will definately stay here again.
Michael was very easy to deal with, extremely helpful and understanding as this was my first use of Airbnb. It was just as described and I'd say even easier than I thought it would be. Met us there, very clean and well kept just like a hotel. Without the hotel price! Would recommend to friend, family and others!
We had a great experience staying at Michael's! The area is calm and safe and the location good, close to the hip shopping street Abbot Kinney. The location is also in short driving distance to Venice Beach (beach) and Santa Monica. And parking is easy on the street. The apartment is nice and clean and with a shadowy, lush garden. There were even 2 bikes that we could use! Perfect for 2 couples although one of the 2 double beds was a bit on the soft side. Highly recommend!
The property was as described; very comfortable and well-located in central Tucson and convenient to the U of A. While it's about 20 minutes out of downtown, there are still some great restaurants nearby, including Frank/Francisco's and Feast. A Whole Foods is also a few minutes away. Josue ensured the check-in went off without a hitch and even arrived promptly when we showed up a little early. It was nice having a bathroom for each bedroom, not to mention two TVs. All the appliances are modern and the furnishings, while relatively spare are very comfortable. The unit is also right next to the pool, so it couldn't be more user-friendly. For a family of four, this was a very good value and I wouldn't hesitate returning the next time I am in Tucson.
We arrived at the apartment early and Michael was there to meet us. He even secured a parking spot for us as it was a busy day and a lot of beachgoers. I'm not the most techy person and Michael went out of his way to make sure I was able to book his apartment when another of his was not available. Plus, he communicated promptly through text, email and phone calls. The listing was very clean and he had left us water and chocolates! YUM! The area is so close to the beach and about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Promenade. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this place to everyone.
Very clean and comfortable place. Worked great for our stay in Tucson. Spacious and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to other friends/travelers in the area. Host was welcoming, honest, and friendly.
Michael was a great guest and very easy to host. He was in/out of town very quickly so he knew a lot of what he wanted to do.
He left the place exactly as he found it, even going as far as leaving everything that needed to be washed ready to go. Knowing he was staying during high season, he made sure he checked out on time to make way for the next guest. Great experience.
Michael was a stellar guest! He was extremely neat and courteous during his stay. He is welcome back any time!
Michael was simply a great guest!!!
He has a very good, simple, friendly and very easy going and enjoyable energy!
I enjoyed sharing with him the fact that we are both full time airbnbrs ;)
I would love to host him again and totally recommend him!!
Michael was a great guest. Though a relative local, I had the chance to show him the best of the East side of LA and he was really psyched to explore the hood. He was clean, respectful and took good care of the back house. Definitely someone I'd love to host again and hopefully stay at his place next time!
Michael booked the unit for is guest Amy. She was a very happy
Michael and I grew up together on the same dead end street in the suburbs of Boston. I've watched him grow up from being an active kid on rollerblades to being a sharp, driven entrepreneur. He's a stand up guy and has been a huge help in getting my airbnb endeavors off the ground. He also loves meeting new people and showing them what LA has to offer.
Mike is awesome, a great friend outside of AirBnb, and does a tremendous job for his guests!
I have worked with Michael and during this time we've became good friends. Michael is a gentleman and a pleasure to be around. From his real estate background he is especially knowledgeable about the Santa Monica and LA area.
I would highly recommend Michael's place to anyone visiting and looking for a great value in a place to stay.
I met Michael in early 2011 while cycling up PCH to Malibu and have been hanging out with him ever since. Michalel is an avid cyclist, and I have gotten much more interested in the sport through this friendship. He is a very social guy, and easy for anyone to get along with. He has a real estate brokerage license and his family invests in several apartment complexes throughout the US, so this should give everyone additional comfort in renting a room from him. I also know that he furnished this room in January, so the room will be essentially brand new. Also, from what I have seen from Michael, he keeps his apartment very clean and has a friendly dog to hang out with.
I can also vouch for the location of his apartment, as my wife and I live less than a block away at 4th and Ocean Park Blvd. You can't find a better location in Santa Monica. You are just a few blocks from the beach. Close enough to enjoy, but not too close so you encounter the riffraf that you might see a little further south close to the beach in Venice. You are also walking distance from tons of local restaurants and shops on main street, yet far enough away from the Santa Monica pier to not feel like a tourist. The main street shops and restaurants basically extend from Urth Cafe at Hollister down to Rose Cafe on Rose st, which is all easily walkable.
Michael is a co-worker of mine who quickly became a friend to not only me, but everyone in the office. He is professional, yet down to earth and outgoing, and has a great sense of humor. He has become a trusted, valuable contact to myself, our peers and even my superiors!
