This was the cleanest rental I have ever had, including hotel rooms. Furnishings, decor, light, parking are all exceptional for a rental property. I found the location to be quite convenient for shopping and getting around town. Very close to good markets, grocery and popular fast food. The complex is very "quaint" and I could often here neighbours in courtyard or in adjacent properties. I love to cook my own food and found the kitchen to be adequately stocked with utensils but was lacking a few items to do everything I wanted. I didn't have many issues with wifi, a bit slow, but 95% of time no issue at all. Highlights of this property are cleanliness, location, close parking, quality ceiling fans, very comfortable bed.

I was in town for work so it was perfect place to come
in and out and having that parking space in la makes
all the difference.
Michael was very nice, but also Steve and his wife
(the owners) were lovely and very accommodating.

This was an amazing unit we had a wonderful time. Michael was so kind calling to ensure everything was good. Coming from a small island I felt so safe and comfortable in this unit. I would stay again for sure on my next trip!
We had a such a wonderful time staying in this house. It really is the perfect house- very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you need. The area is great, very nice and quiet neighborhood and so so nice to have 2 bikes to go explore around Venice especially Abbott Kinney and the beach. Michael was very very helpful when we had any questions and he answered them instantly- he also stopped by so that we could meet him in person and also to check on us that everything was going well and that we were enjoying our stay.

My girlfriend and I were in Beverly Hills on a week long vacation and were delighted to stay at Michael's studio. The studio is just off of Beverly Blvd and was the perfect destination for our beautiful getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and felt perfectly at home as Michael seemed to have thought of everything. The neighborhood felt very safe as both the unit and parking spot are securely located behind gating. The checkin process was seamless and we were very sad to leave! Thanks for everything.
As a side note, our excellent host recommended Gracias Madre as a lunch experience while we were there and it was absolutely amazing. The Vegan-Mexican fusion was a joy in the open air of Los Angeles eternal springtime.
We spent the better part of this past winter at Michael's lovely Santa Monica apartment and really enjoyed our stay. Very nice apartment, easy walking distance to great shops and restaurants and a very nice, comfortable bed. Would stay here again.
The apartment is perfect! It's so lovely and the location is great. Michael is a great host! He's so accommodating. I booked last night minute with no problems. He was so nice to let us stay around on Sunday to celebrate my sister's birthday. Thanks Michael!

Michael was a great guest. Though a relative local, I had the chance to show him the best of the East side of LA and he was really psyched to explore the hood. He was clean, respectful and took good care of the back house. Definitely someone I'd love to host again and hopefully stay at his place next time!

Michael and I grew up together on the same dead end street in the suburbs of Boston. I've watched him grow up from being an active kid on rollerblades to being a sharp, driven entrepreneur. He's a stand up guy and has been a huge help in getting my airbnb endeavors off the ground. He also loves meeting new people and showing them what LA has to offer.
Mike is awesome, a great friend outside of AirBnb, and does a tremendous job for his guests!

I met Michael in early 2011 while cycling up PCH to Malibu and have been hanging out with him ever since. Michalel is an avid cyclist, and I have gotten much more interested in the sport through this friendship. He is a very social guy, and easy for anyone to get along with. He has a real estate brokerage license and his family invests in several apartment complexes throughout the US, so this should give everyone additional comfort in renting a room from him. I also know that he furnished this room in January, so the room will be essentially brand new. Also, from what I have seen from Michael, he keeps his apartment very clean and has a friendly dog to hang out with.
I can also vouch for the location of his apartment, as my wife and I live less than a block away at 4th and Ocean Park Blvd. You can't find a better location in Santa Monica. You are just a few blocks from the beach. Close enough to enjoy, but not too close so you encounter the riffraf that you might see a little further south close to the beach in Venice. You are also walking distance from tons of local restaurants and shops on main street, yet far enough away from the Santa Monica pier to not feel like a tourist. The main street shops and restaurants basically extend from Urth Cafe at Hollister down to Rose Cafe on Rose st, which is all easily walkable.
Michael is a co-worker of mine who quickly became a friend to not only me, but everyone in the office. He is professional, yet down to earth and outgoing, and has a great sense of humor. He has become a trusted, valuable contact to myself, our peers and even my superiors!
