I think, Greg's overreaction, with a double touch of discrimination, tells his story. We were 'stoic' because of our frustration after the wait. To set the record straight: I had told him our arrival time at the airport in our very first communication 5 days before we came to Austin. It wouldn't have been difficult to figure out when we'd arrive at the apt and to make arrangements. Also, he delayed the meet up time from before 5 to 6 to before 7 and came at 7:15 (we arrived shortly after 4), because he was 'stuck in gridlock traffic', so we couldn't go anywhere else in the meantime. He's right about the neighbors, not his fault, but still part of the unpleasant stay. The towell did smell, I don't know why or whether that's his fault.
