A very excellent place in the world. This was a wonderful surprise- beautiful landscape with bird soundtrack. An esthetic treat. Great host that provided a clean welcome place. Nothing lacking.
I have only positive feedback for staying in Jeff's incredible apartment. Jeff was as hospitable as one could be and the apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. I felt like I was at some sort of cottage oasis when I was only a short drive into town. When I return to Buffalo, there is no doubt in my mind that I will see if Jeff's apartment is available.
Jeffrey sent tips on how to get to the studio, and greeted us upon arrival. Easy check in with parking space. Jeffrey was friendly and gave us recommendations for restaurants and grocery store and activities. Studio as pictured, very neat and clean. Older furnishings but well maintained. Very cold on Sunday, snow flurries. We were able to turn up the thermostat and heat came on right away. Quite neighborhood. Only 15 minutes from University of Buffalo, great for parents of UB students.
Jeff gave us clear directions to enter the home. Everything came as expected. He even had extra bedsheets. The neighborhood was incredibly safe.
Jeffrey was very welcoming (slippery pete the dog was too!). It was a very cute and cozy studio, complete with comfortable couch for an extra person and washer with dryer for guests convenience. Amazing view outside. I wish I had stayed there longer than a night.
We were welcomed to this wonderful place in so many little ways--good signs to show us how to get in to the apartment with a welcome message on the blackboard on the way, chocolates by the bed, little messages to tell us how to use the wifi, towels set out, everything clean and lovely. We arrived early and left right away to go to our mother who was in a nursing unit close by. We had come to see her and were only in the apartment late at night, but on the last morning Jeffery gave us a splendid tour of the wonderful gardens and we had a great talk.
This place is just delightful. The pictures are accurate but don't really capture the magic of it. It's so homey and yet full of treats for the senses--beautiful things, old things, new things, funny things, unexpected treats--fun lighting effects, lovely pictures, quilts and handworked pillows, prints and paintings, oil and vinegar if you want to make salad, lovely gardens with all sorts of areas to play, hang out, enjoy. Everything is tidy and thoughtful and unpretentious. And the shower is great. The neighborhood is quiet. If you want a motel like atmosphere on a major highway this isn't the place for you, but if you want to feel relaxed and enchanted this is a great place.
If you happen to have relatives at Canterbury Woods, this is within walking distance.
Home away from home with lots of good vibes.
Jeffrey was friendly, attentive to any needs we had, asked us how we were doing and if we needed anything. The apartment was very charming, cozy and full of interesting artwork and photos and very clean. We had everything we needed and truly felt we were at home. It was great to be able to cook if we wanted and do laundry since the washer and dryer were right in the apartment. Slippery Pete was an added bonus and was so sweet!
Jeffrey's little studio has everything you will need in a home while traveling in the Buffalo area. With a full kitchen and dining table, you can cook meals at home. It has a large bathroom with laundry facilities. The land the home stands on is spacious and naturalized, lending an air of tranquility. It is also close to restaurants and the highway. Jeffrey and his partner are warm and interesting people, great to get to know. I would highly recommend.
This place needs a mystical name!
It is a gem of a place.
The environment was a a clean, calming space. The natural habitat that could be experienced from all the lovely views made me feel I was living in a tree house.
There was coffee, and the cutest dog and lots of art and, and and...
and the kindest most gracious host Jeffrey.
I want to live there...and I guess in my short restorative stay I was so at home that I rather felt I did.
