This was the first experience my husband and I had with airbnb. We loved the apartment we stayed in for three nights. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. It is located in a quiet and very nice neighborhood and close by the Buffalo airport. Jeffrey was friendly, accommodating and a great host. If we visit Buffalo, NY again, we would want to rent the same apartment.
Apt is scrupulously clean, very comfortable, w/ kitchen and laundry facilities for longer stay. While the the apt itself is aesthetically pleasing, it is the grounds that make for a truly unique experience, especially during the warmer months, when
the garden is in full foliage. One imagines that the flowers "parade" in a succession
of beauty! The host makes every effort to accommodate every need, w/out
Jeffrey was a great and generous host. The room was very comfortable and clean and Jeffrey made sure I had whatever I needed. His home is lovely as are the beautiful elaborate gardens around the property. Thanks again.
My boyfriend & I came to Buffalo on Father's day weekend to shop and eat! It was short but very sweet, mainly because our host, Jeffrey, was so hospitable. The place was exactly as advertised. The room is so cozy and breezy (with the windows open). The apartment is surrounded by nature, flowers, and plants. It was like a mini-get away from the busy streets of Toronto (where we live). We will definitely be back here.
Jeffrey is a great host. My flight was late and he waited for me, he showed me the apartment and immediately I felt at home. It is very quite around, the pace is surrounded by nature and birds. It is home away from home
Loved our quick trip through Buffalo and surely benefitted from our interactions with Jeffrey. He's a treasure, offering up his lovely well-equipped studio and posting his travel tips for us. Highly recommended!
Jeff's place is great. We had plenty of space but it still felt cozy - love all the details in the decor. The property is beautiful and peaceful. We didn't hear any noise from the main house or the neighborhood. Jeff stayed up to greet us after a late flight in - offering his advice and coffee/etc for the morning. We'd happily stay with Jeff again and enjoyed meeting Slippery Pete.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Amherst studio apartment over Memorial Day weekend. It was such a memorable stay and a wonderful extended weekend. Jeffrey was an excellent host, full of local knowledge and tips about where to eat, what to see, and what road and highways to take to get to a particular location. The studio apartment was the perfect size and had an incredible amount of natural light that filled the space every morning and throughout the day. Antiques are the theme for the decorative motif and I found myself studying, for more than a few seconds, all the various pieces of art that crowd the walls of the apartment. If you love antique pieces of furniture and are an art aficionado then this is the place for you. Jeffrey's house sits on 2 1/2 acres of certified 'natural habitat' land. The backyard was so peaceful and eccentric with it's makeshift wooden dance stage, to the outside marble-topped bar, to the decorative metal tepees that shoot up and sit amidst the overgrowth of plants and trees. During our down-time we passed the day sitting under the umbrella-covered table whilst conversing with Jeffrey in the yard and playing catch with Slippery Pete. I found the outside space to be even more tranquil and inviting than the inside of the apartment. On the last night of our stay, Jeffrey was kind enough to light a bonfire which we all enjoyed (including Slippery Pete) while we sat around and talked, snacking on cheetos and wine past midnight. Needless to say, it was a great night and a perfect way to end our stay.
From a practical stand point, the apartment has everything you would want for an extended stay including a washer and dryer. My girlfriend and I were even able to save some money by cooking breakfast in the apartment for the two mornings we were there. There are some food essentials in the fridge and also dishware and cooking utensils so that guests have the option of eating in. I loved looking out over the yard from the large window that is right next to the kitchen table while enjoying a delicious breakfast of over-easy eggs, bacon, and Wegman's coffee. I would not hesitate to book this apartment for a future stay and would highly recommend it to all travelers who might find themselves passing through the Buffalo area or are planning a trip to Niagara Falls.
Jeff was a most accommodating and gracious host. He has a beautiful home and I felt like a welcomed guest.
Jeffrey was very polite and helpful. His place is super nice, and has everything you need for a short stay. I appreciate that it has plates, cutlery and laundry. He was very kind to offer us coffee, and some supplies. The apartment was super clean and cozy.
