Hi my name is Sarah and I am listing the lovely 'Old world converted stable yard' located in Dublin, Ireland.
From the first time we met Sarah to the point of us saying goodbye we were treated exceptionally well. There were 6 of us in total staying and all of us were very impressed by the genuine warmth and helpfulness of Sarah (and the family).
To say our hosts went beyond expectations was an understatement. There are numerous examples of this, facilitating a dinner we wanted to have in Saturday night by arranging a shop and letting us use the family's dining room as one example.
The house itself is fantastic. The pool and sauna were used every day. The location is fantastic, it is far away from Dublin city for you to feel like you are in the countryside, yet very close for going out etc. Castle knock village has some great pubs and facilities.
All in all I'm delighted we chose to stay here. There is nothing to suggest as an improvement as it all has been thought through very well. There is a great combination of luxury and personality about this offering. I would recommend it to anybody. We will be looking to stay here again.
Say thank you to everyone for their very kind words. I would love you all to stay again some day
Very very nice contact!
Sarah thank you very much for your support and your perfect house! Our christmas trip to Dublin was very very funny and successful!
See you next time
Wonderful experience! Sarah and Michael were extremely helpful and friendly. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. Definitely recommend for a group. Thank you so much!
It was a pleasure having you to stay. You were the best!
Hope to meet you all again another time.
Thank you for leaving the house in perfect condition
Sarah and her husband were very gracious hosts, and their flexibility in cancellations, check in and check out times were one reason I chose this place to stay. The room we stayed in was not part of her home, but rather a separate unit, like a guest house. There was a common kitchen/living room area, with several private rooms that could be perfect for larger groups. During our stay in the off-season, we were the only guests that week, so we had the place to ourselves. She stocked the kitchen with breakfast food, so guests make their own breakfast. Sarah was just delightful, as were her dogs, and she offered us some complimentary food and wine for dinner/dessert a few of the nights that we were there.
The location is just outside of the main city of Dublin, easy access by bus or car to City Center, and next to a very large park and zoo, so walking and exercising was easy. The affluent neighborhood was very clean and felt safe for walking, even at night. Overall it was an excellent choice for a quiet upscale neighborhood with access to all the amenities of the nearby Dublin City Center.
Sarah is a very warm & welcoming person and a wonderful host, and she really made me feel very welcome. I arrived quite late in the evening, and Sarah came out to ensure that I found the property. She also very kindly made a lovely plate of smoked salmon and brown bread for me - a perfect light meal before bed.
The house too is absolutely fantastic . . one of the nicest homes that I've stayed in (and we've stayed in around 20 Airbnb and vrbo properties over the years). Full of character, wonderful amenities, comfortable, quiet and equipped with everything a family would need for a memorable stay.
Unfortunately, I only stayed the one night and had to leave early the next morning, and so couldn't enjoy the park that is adjacent to the property. But we'll definitely return to Sarah's property on a future family trip to Dublin, and will stay long enough to enjoy Sarah's hospitality and everything that her beautiful home has to offer.
Dear Keith, thank you for your kind words. I also very much enjoyed your company and regret that you could only stay the one night. I hope to see you again in the future with your family for more chats and good times
The Stables is a fantastic dwelling in a great location. It was wonderful to have an early morning walk in Phoenix Park.
Accommodation was spacious, well appointed and comfortable.
Sarah was a welcoming and helpful host.
I would recommend for a stay in Dublin.
We were a group of 8 girls for a relaxing weekend, Sarah was very friendly and available. The house is really nice and the location is perfect ! We had the chance to enjoy the pool and the sauna which with this weather were amazing!
However, for us the cleaning part was not done properly (spiders web and hair everywhere and bedroom and sheets not clean).
We would still be very happy to go there again if the cleaning part is properly done !
Sarah is the perfect host. We had a very nice time and sleeped well in the quied house. Thanks!
Christoph, his wife and children were a pleasure to host. They are great fun and the children so polite and great to have to stay. Anybody would be lucky to have them as guests.
Sarah was an excellent host. She met us upon arrival, joined us for interesting conversation, gave us directions to great local restaurants, and asked what we would like to have for breakfast. Her home is beautiful and the surrounding neighborhood upscale and close to a park.
Some friends and I stayed at Sarah's for two nights celebrating my birthday.
Sarah was very friendly, was happy to help organise activities, offered to get us food to cook for breakfast and even bought us a case of beer and a couple of bottles of wine as it was my birthday which was a lovely surprise.
We didn't spend an awful lot of time there as we were out and about most of the time but it's a lovely place as you can see from the photos. It had everything you would expect from a hotel, clean towels, shampoo, shower gel, free wifi, tv etc.
It's in a leafy and quiet part of Dublin. Taxis into the city centre were about €15.
I would definitely stay here again.
