We appreciated having room for our extended family of 6. Having an elevator was wonderful and we liked that the metro and bus lines were close along with plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and shops. Luisa was a delightful host and helped us set up rides to/from the airport and even got a wheelchair for us. We enjoyed our stay
Luisa was a very gracious host and constantly in contact with any small questions we had. She was very understanding and nice with all contact. The apartment was very close to the main metro line and very nice and spacious. If you're traveling in a large group and want to stay in a cheap and large apartment, definitely stay here.
Luisa was very helpful and the apartment was clean. Even though the apartment location is outside the city center it's located very close to the subway.
When we arrived, Luisa herself was there to greet us and show us the apartment. She helped us with our luggage in the elevator which made things easier! She was very easy to communicate with, and made the check in and check out very smooth. The room was very clean--just like a hotel room! The wireless internet was great to have to check emails, and contact family. You can't beat the location of this spot. The subway is right across the street, the area is full of restaurants, and you are walking distance to the Vatican. We were issued vouchers to get breakfast (a coffee, and fresh croissant of choice) at a cafe right down the street, which was always a great start to the day. We would recommend this place to stay! Thank you Luisa!!
The apartment was spacious and had all the things we needed to feel like home. Luisa responded quickly to our communication and helped us settle in.
Luisa saved our vacation! We had a reservation through an alternate company that was planned weeks in advance. Days before leaving the reservation fell through. We had 7 family members and were looking for a 4 bedroom place. I contacted her through airbnb and she was so fast to respond. We landed in Rome early in the day so she arranged airport pickup for us, stored our luggage until the apartment was ready and gave us a cell phone so she could call us and let us know when to meet at the apartment (we arrived on a changeover day).
The apartment was just what we needed. The kitchen was manageable and had all of the necessities with space for our entire group to sit around the table. More often than not though, any meals we made we preferred to eat out on the terrace. The terrace is a great outdoor space with views of Piazza San Giovanni. The beds were all comfortable and the bathrooms were just fine even though the showers are pretty small.
The location of the apartment is in an area that is relatively quiet at night. Many of the local stores close by 8 or 9. The local restaurants stay open later and we had some great meals on evenings where we went out at 9 or 10pm. When you want to cook for yourself, there is a small supermarket right around the corner (Carrefour Express - not open on Sunday). Regarding transportation: most of the major bus routes stop right in front of the Piazza, there is a taxi line 100 meters away, the metro line A is a 2 minute walk from the apartment and the Colliseum is about a 20 minute walk.
When it came time to leave, Luisa was again extremely helpful. She arranged transportation and enabled us to leave our luggage and explore. I can not stress enough how fantastic she was in helping us manage the tough situation we experienced prior to our trip.
Thank you Luisa! It was a pleasure for my family and I to have met you and stayed at your apartment.
We stayed there for 2 nights. Wonderful, cosy and clean rooms. Newly renovated, perfect location within steps from the metro station and a couple of minutes walk to the Vatican. We also had the chance to meet Luisa and have a small conversation before leaving to see the city. Nice and kind person. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
We enjoyed our stay at Luisa's B&B. The location is on block from the Ottaviano metro station, and a 15 minute walk to the Vatican. Major attractions (Fontana di Trevi, Coloseum, etc.) can all easily be reached by metro in less than 30 minutes.
Luisa was very friendly, and waited for us despite a 2 hour flight delay. She gave us the keys and instructions, and dealt instantaneously with a water-heater related issue.
The room was as shown in the pictures, was very clean, and wasn't noisy. Breakfast was provided through vouchers, redeemable in a neighborhood cafe.
Overall, we would recommend staying at Luisa's, and would gladly return.
