Easy going, always greating you with a smile and handshake, always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay here more enjoyable.
A wealth of knowledge when it comes to touring Toronto.
Thanks to Jason for our wonderful 9-day stay in his home. Traveling with small children isn't without its challenges and his apartment is excellently located on Queen East, close to groceries, parks and the beach. It was easy for us to stay in and make dinner for the kids and a nice home base for all our trip activities. He is easy to get ahold of with questions and clear about directions for parking etc. The beds are comfortable and the location couldn't be better!
Jason's place it great. Lot's of space, comfortable beds, great kitchen and the location is great. Jump on the Queen St street car and your in the heart of the beach in 5 minutes.
We are two couples who stayed at Jason's place over Xmas and new year 2013. The apartment is spacious, very well equipped, and beautifully warm and cozy. We were there during the ice storm yet it was still very toasty! The quality of the apartment, compared to other Airbnb places we have stayed in or seen, is excellent. Jason had even put out some holiday decorations, and a bottle of wine to greet us which was very welcome. He popped in to make sure we had everything we needed, and could work all of the appliances. It was a shame we were in the middle of supper, it would have been great to have a longer chat and get to know our host a bit better! Location is brilliant - close to great shopping on Queen Street, the Beach and the streetcar. Jason also offered us an extensive list of recommendations of places to eat and sights to see. Particularly good are the coffee and muffins at the a Remarkable Bean, food and beer at The Hogtown smoke, and breakfast at the Beacher Cafe. You certainly won't go hungry in this part of town! Thanks Jason, it was a memorable stay and if our kids stay in Toronto for another year, we may see you again!
Response from Jason:
We look forward to having the four of you again. I'm happy you had a festive time. A true Canadian Christmas- snow and all!
Happy New Year!
Another lovely stay in Jason's Beaches apartment. He was kind enough to drop by to check on me, and there were even holiday decorations in place when I arrived! It was warm and toasty inside and I really enjoyed my stay once again. Definitely would recommend.
All the comforts of home : )
Response from Jason:
Thanks Jocelyn, its our first year with Airbnb. Its nice to have Wonderful people come again! Repeat clients is always nice!
So thanks you for the kind words Jocelyn.
It was a pleasure to meet you.
Beautiful apartment, in quaint neighborhood outside of downtown and walking distance to the beach. Jason was extremely responsive and helpful for any questions throughout the trip. I can highly recommend this apartment.
Jason's place was perfect for my stay in The Beaches. I was close to the water ( just a block away!) and the great boardwalk, to enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and all the benefits of this upscale Toronto neighborhood. The kitchen was wonderful, with everything I needed for cooking and a great coffee machine for morning brews. The beds were comfortable and the apartment bright and clean and updated.
I could step right outside my door and be on Queen Street with all its great culture. The shopping and restaurants are great in this area. I like the beautiful tree-lined streets and the less stressful feeling in The Beaches. It's my favorite area to stay in Toronto.
It was also great to have a parking spot in the back. Jason was very prompt about getting back to me and I would definitely stay here again!
My family and I had a great stay at Jason's apartment in the beaches neighborhood. The location is perfect. The apartment is right on the main drag of the beaches neighborhood which allowed us to walk to many great restaurants and also the beach area. It is also only a 20 minute drive to downtown Toronto. The apartment was in great condition and very clean. We really enjoyed cooking in the fully functional modern kitchen. Also, the bedrooms and the bathroom are a good size. I would definitely recommend his place if you are staying in Toronto and want to stay in a unique smaller neighborhood while being close to downtown action.
Jason and family were fantastic hosts. Great location in the beaches, walking distance to a great kids park, the boardwalk and many other great activities. If you are looking for a property in the beaches, I highly recommend this place. Thanks Jason!
Response from Jason:
Glad you had a great stay. Please come again.
The apartment was cute, comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. We stayed for two weeks and really felt at home. The kitchen was perfect; we used it extensively since we have a toddler and eating out for every meal for two weeks is not an option.
The location was amazing. We loved the short walk to the amazing beach and boardwalk and being able to grab the Queen St. streetcar right out front. Everything we needed was in easy walking distance: grocery store, laundromat, (amazing) coffee place, chocolate shop, and tons of restaurants.
We didn't bother with a car for our stay, but there is reserved parking. However, the driveway seemed very narrow; there may be an issue with larger cars. I'd definitely check with Jason.
Notes/Tips: taxi fare from Pearson was about $75. The TTC weekly pass is worth it for the mass transit stuff. If you don't use the pass, you can buy tokens at the Value Mart 2 blocks west.
I stayed at Jason's place which is very close to the "beeches". My main reason to go to Toronto was for my Jaw Orthodontic Surgery. There is a whole lot of house for a temp stay. The beds are firm yet very comfy! I slept like an Angel. In the house, there is about everything you need to cook your own meals or drink. If I must comment on something that would be neat to have is paper for writing down things which is not really a big deal since Queen is loaded with stores. I just had forgot to get some after my surgery so I had to write everything on my tablet. The neighbors beside were making lots of noise with my post op surgery day 1 as they were drilling. I messaged Jason and he promptly got back to me that he was willing to call By-Law's and come over to check out what the racket was about. That's what makes a 5* host in my book. It ended up the neighbor was just cutting something temporarily for renovations, no big deal it didn't last for hours. When I felt strong enough to walk outside, me and my father went to the beeches/boardwalk where we sat on the rocks near the great lake just relaxing listening to the water. Everyone in the area was friendly, about 80% of the pass-er by's said Hi without initiating an hello myself. A lot of people saw I came out of surgery and let me pet their dogs which I love and feel so relaxed.
Would I recommend this place to anyone? Definitely.
Jason being physically on site to greet you: 5*
Jason for showing you things around the house: 5*
The breakfast down the street was awesome!
P.S. Victoria Park Blvd which is right around the corner is loaded with huge brand name grocery stores, and lot's of bar&grills where you can eat some awesome 8oz steaks! This route will also take you to 401 with next to no wait times other then lights.
I was able to park the Mid-size car I had rented in the back although a tight squeeze. Just be prepared if, you do utilize the back spot to know your car distance. There are other people who also park behind there and you can easily get cornered if your turning skills are not the best. I myself had no issue's at anytime of day or night to get out without any scratches on the car.
This will be my 3rd time using airbnb, and I have full confidence to keep using it.
Though I unfortunately did not get to meet this charming family, I heard good reports from my assistant. I was glad to hear they enjoyed using the tandem!
Jason is a super nice guy who will do anything possible to ensure your stay is a fab one. The apartment is in a really high end area and so easy to get to other places in Toronto. A definite must rent if I do say so myself.
