Hi, I live in Malta and lead a very busy life. i run a Telecommunications business and whenever I find the time I love to go sailing. One of my favorite travel destinations is Thailand.
What a wonderful apartment...Katarina has a truly great property with a beautiful view - that I never got tired of looking at. I often found myself just looking out across the bay, Comino and Gozo watching the sea and clouds scudding by. If you want to switch off, recharge and get some perspective, book here. Its situated in the Northwest part of the island near to the Gozo ferry. It is quieter than other parts of the island - but of course you are never far away from anything is Malta...so whenever you want the bright lights you can be wherever you want in 30 minutes.
We did have a hiccup with the wifi which was not working when we arrived. I take the attitude that these things happen. The important thing is the reaction. Once I alerted Kat, she jumped into action booking a technician and putting it right as soon as was possible.
A genuine 5 star host and property. Thank you Kat and also your friend Pavla.
Really beautiful flat - proper luxury! Amazing views over the north of the island, even in bad weather (we were there in December) the clouds and sky is captivating. Highly recommended.
The apartment is just as pictured and right next to the harbour and sea. Great for swimming from just outside the door. It is also nicely furnished.
Kate was away when we were due to be there and passed the booking over to Pavla to deal with - or should have done. She had no knowledge of our booking. Not a great start to our holiday when you're arriving after midnight and the key is not in the box as agreed and nobody knows about you. TIP: Make sure you contact Pavla before you go to ensure she knows you are coming and don't just deal with Kate.
TIP 2: Make sure you work exactly where the apartment is, as it is not easy to find. Kate gives directions but I'd advise you to get Kate to give you with a map too - not least to show to the taxi driver.
This amazing house has really the most wonderful sunset view over the bay with Malta's biggest beach across the small island of Comino and as far as Gozo. It is a great starting point for all major sights of all three islands and because three sandy beaches are within very easy reach by car, one can go against the masses and enjoy them even in the busiest time of the year. The house has a very effective full air-conditioning, but it is also very comfortable to sleep with the windows open. We really felt very much at home here and so did the boys. It is a wonderful place for children school-age and up. They have their own sleeping-room, bathroom and a little extra space to hang out. Because of the open constructions of the staircases I would not recommend it for toddlers. All questions were immediately attended to. We would definitely love to come back!
We didn't really know what to expect in Malta, nor with this apartment and the area. It all turned out to be FANTASTIC! The apartment is really great, on a quiet and peaceful street, within walking distance of the historic quarter of Mellieha, and with breathtaking views on both sides! Pavla, the girl who was managing the apartment was extremely helpful, and even drove across the island to come and help us out on 2 occasions, then even sent some of my stuff which I had forgotten in the mail. Overall, great experience!! Thanks, Katarina and Pavla!
The flat is brand new and really nice. My sister and I had a great time, we spent four days in malta. The apartment is perfect if you want to relax. It's quiet and the view is amazing. The first day the toilet flush was broke, but Pavla came immediately to fix it. Thanks a lot for some wonderful days!
If You need quiet, relax away from civilization then it's just the perfect place. Stunning view, nice terrace, unique and modern archiecture. Things I love about this duplex penthouse;
*Comfortable couch in front of big windows
*huge kitchen [2 ovens, dishwasher, fridge, kettle, toaster and small lavazza for espresso only [You should buy coffee before You came
*fast enough internet
*glass floor ;]
It's good to have a car because everything is far away, even the supermarket. There is small shop with fresh vegetables and bread down in Mellieha.
Good that we stopped in one bigger shop on our way from the airport to buy all neccessary things as toilet papper, soap....as well as food and water of course. Justin - the driver was so kind in helping us.
This will be inforgettable experience for me and my husband, we enjoyed this stay very much.
This is a great penthouse with a breathtaking view. No matter if you are in the livingroom, bedroom, terrace and even in the bathroom, you always have a fantastic view to the Mallieha Bay. You can enjoy the sunrise and the sunset and don't want to leave the place at all. We definitely come back again.
The stay at Johns was very pleasant. Very convenient place/flat. It is in quiet part of the city but still a few minutes to the beach and center of the city. John also was very helpful so thanks a lot to him.
We've stayed in plenty of places in Malta and John's place ranks right at the top.
Views: It definitely boasts some of the best on the islands.
Location: Peaceful, quiet road, yet 5 minutes' walk to Mellieha main street and one minute's drive to the main bypass if you need to get out and about. Ideal.
Amenities: Comfortable, modern, stylish. With everything you need to get through a self-catering stay.
Host: With it being a brand new place, there were a few small teething niggles, but John sorted it in no time even though he was on the other side of the world at the time! Friendly, helpful and contactable.
Overall I'll recommend this apartment any day. It rivals even the most expensive hotels on the islands when it comes to location, views and decor. We stayed for 3 weeks and it was easily the best I've had in Malta so far.
