We spent a night a Giles's place and enjoyed it very much. It's a very nice, cozy and clean house with two charming dogs. Giles is super friendly and hospitable, we had some interesting conversations and in the morning he cooked us a gorgeous breakfast. Highly recommended if you would like to spend some time in the countryside or traveling in this area.
Giles and Ruth were very welcoming. Their home is beautiful and in a lovely location. They have good knowledge of the area and a great sense of humour. We highly recommend this accommodation.
Giles, Ruth and Eoghan are a gorgeous family and we loved to stay in their beautiful house, we can strongly affirm that we've found new real friends in Ireland!
The house was very clean and located in a wonderful place in the countryside, the room was comfortable with a nice view on the garden, and Giles and Ruth are great cookers!!!!
A great "thank you" goes to this special family and to Fox&Cloud, the most funny irish dogs we've ever met!
We hope to come back soon....

Giles, Ruth and Eoghan were very welcoming and hospitable. We arrived late because we miscalculated our traveling time, but the family was very understanding.
Best place to stay!!! Giles and Ruth are great hosts and very lovely and interesting people too. We had an unbelievable tasty dinner and a lovely breakfast. We and our baby felt very welcome in their home and we had a great time.
We had a really lovely stay here, Giles and Ruth welcomed us like friends and we spent a great evening having dinner and chatting. The bed was comfortable and the location nice and quiet.
Breakfast was delicious and Ruth even made us a packed lunch to take on our walk from Doolin to Cliffs of Moher.
Giles and Ruth could not have been more friendly and helpful.
We would thoroughly recommend staying here - we felt very well looked after and would love to go back again.
Our stay was brief, but lovely. After a long day of travel we were made to feel welcome by Giles and Ruth and a pot of tea. Giles gave us a brief rundown of the history of the little church nearby, which we explored that evening. Full Irish breakfast the next morning was delicious, and left us ready to take the beautiful hike Giles suggested from Doolin to the Cliffs of Moher. Thanks for a great stay!
My husband and I stayed here while visiting Galway and the Cliffs, and we were so impressed by this place! We felt welcome from the second we walked in the door. Ruth and Giles were the best hosts in the best house you could ask to stay in. Everything was impeccable: the communication, the price, the room, the shower, the food(!), and the company. My only gripe is that we didn't stay longer. If you're coming to the West coast of Ireland, do yourself a favor and stay with the Hillsons.
Our first night in Ireland and we could not be more lucky. Gils and his wife are so friendly that we felt at home. We love everything of this place : the bedroom, the kitchen, the garden and even the dogs. And if you need any suggestions for your holiday, just ask to them!
Giles and his family provided an excellent home away from home. They were very welcoming and we were very comfortable in the accommodation. Local information and tips were shared and Giles' breakfast was delicious.
We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend other people to stay.
*Please note that this is a review of Giles as a guest and not a host*
It is with regret that I must leave my first ever negative review of a guest.
Giles and his colleague stayed in my home for one night. They were both reportedly very friendly and pleasant on arrival. I was away from home so he was greeted by my brother.
The pair over enjoyed themselves in the city that night and it lead to an unfortunate series of events. On his return to my home, late that night, Giles took the irresponsible decision to drive his car and got it stuck in the front lawn (Who knows what could have happened had he not gotten stuck).
My mother had to spend considerable time helping them tow the car the following morning.
In addition to this, one of the men walked all over the bedroom carpet with muddy boots and it was left in an appalling condition. The entire room was covered in muck.
I should highlight that my brother and mother stressed Giles was polite and apologetic. He also left a small sum of money to my brother as compensation, which was appreciated.
Giles did not intend to do any harm, nevertheless his actions were wholly irresponsible and I expected a much higher standard from a fellow Airbnb host.
I would be reluctant to recommend him as a guest.
