I live in a very beautiful place, so I am very passionate about "place". My husband and I moved to Cortes Island, British Columbia in 2005, coming from the city(US), 9-5, and raising great kids. We have a very different lifestyle now. We live so close, literally, to nature, it is impossible not to be very affected by it. We have a small coffee roasting business supplying our island and others with really good coffee. We have a big garden and greenhouse and an orchard and a growing forest to look after, as well. Scott does pottery and I am a RN working part-time. My work is 2 ferries away. So we keep very busy and when we can get away for a little while, it is really special. I think we make very good guests. We are mindful of our surroundings and try to be considerate (I am saying "we" some because my husband, Scott, doesn't like computers much and I know he won't have a profile of his own). We like all kinds of music. I like to feel comfortable where I am staying and I really LOVE a great comfy bed. That trumps all. I guess that's good for now!
