Aunty Rosaline is a very nice and warm person who welcomed us on arrival and happily took us around the place.
The room has all the basic needs, and was perfect for us. Had a good nights sleep, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The pantry is right outside the room, with basic stuff like hot/cold water dispenser, coffee/tea etc.
Only thing that might be an issue is the thin walls, and seeing as the room is right opposite the common area, can clearly hear people talking and all the clankings in the pantry. I guess we were slightly unfortunate as the other guests were up really early for breakfast.
However, for the price we paid, we are very very happy with our stay at Edmond's, exceeded our expectations and will highly recommend to others. Next trip to Kuching we would definitely be staying here again.
I had a pleasant stay at Edmond's along with my friends during my 4d3n stay at Kuching.
The place is just as described, it's clean, beds are comfy and room is spacious.
Upon arrival, Ms. Rosline was there to greet us and shown us around the house. Really welcoming and friendly.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and would recommend for those who are looking for a cheap and affordable place to stay in Kuching. :)
Relaxing, welcoming and a very good quality room. Everyone at Edmund's made us feel totally at home and were particularly helpful to us, as new comers to the area. There's also mango trees and a piano! It's a little out of town, so prepare to budget for taxis at about 20RM one way. That said, for the quality of the stay, it's worth it.
I only had 2 issues at the room.
-The toilet was smelly. There was a weird smell, and i had commented on this on the first and second day but nothing could be done.
I was afraid to leave the windows open 24/7, as they were not grilled.
-The walls are really thin, and light sleepers will have a problem with the noise. It was a problem with people opening and closing doors at 7am, and I could hear many neighbors talking.
Aside from that, the location is very close to Borneo Medical centre and the hosts were helpful.
We really love the place..its coziness, how the place is really clean..and the best part is the value for money that is really hard to come by these days. Will definately be staying again @ Edmond's.
Thank you very much and we hope to see you again some day. Take care and Selamat Hari Raya to you and your family.
We are a young couple with a one year old baby. We stayed for 5 days 4 nights and loved every moment at Edmond's. The rooms and kitchen has large windows which provides lots of gentle breeze and sunlight.
There is always bread (which you can help yourself), coffee and tea. Free flowing of filtered hot/cold water too and not forgetting a chiller and microwave. Free and fast wifi can be easily accessed around the house. Aircon is very cold but you can adjust it. Water pressure is very strong too. The entire house is clean, tidy and with a modern touch as they just opened over a year ago.
The Spring mall is a short distance away (certainly walkable) and so are some local restaurants located behind the medical center.
The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. You will feel just like home!
Thank you very much for staying at Edmonds. We have a lovely time too having you with us. Take care.
My husband and I felt very welcome by the host. We had an awesome time. Everyone was friendly and the place was lovely. We would surely go back there again.
Thank you very much and do keep in touch.
Edmond's was our first stop in Kuching and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the area! Lovely, considerate hosts with an emphasis on comfort and convenience. Highly recommended.
Thank you very much and have pleasant trip to your next destinations.
Edmond's was very clean and well put together. It resides in a very nice neighborhood in Kuching, not far from the airport or downtown. The host and all of the help were incredibly friendly as well as helpful. We ended up staying there at the beginning of our trip and then opted to stay again at the end when we returned to Kuching. Overall, a great experience.
Thank you so much. We do the best we can to host all our honourable guests. Glad that you feel comfortable and relax while staying at Edmond's. We hope to see you again in future. Take care and thank you once again.
The room was as described and so far okay. Due to the weak aircon and the strong sunshine, we had to keep the window darkened at daytime, sitting there with bulb light. Rosslyn at the reception and Dennis (the Driver) are very nice, kind and helpful. Colin, the Owner, I never met, maybe he was there but did not greet us or introduced himself. The biggest downsides - which are not transparent when booking: The place is directly beside a very noisy highway, it is very loud and we could not sleep well, even with earplugs! It is also not relaxing during daytime. This is especially dismaying since I had asked for a quiet room when booking! The place is also far away from downtown which means you need to book and pay Dennis (the nice Driver) or take a Taxi. Most of the Taxidrivers do not know the place and resisted to drive us 'home' from downtown.
