Our Rome flat is in the Pigneto area. The flat is on the first floor(no lift).
The room sleeps 2. There are two single beds: one downstairs and one on a raised sleeping level.
The Pigneto area has become very trendy over the last 5 years, but it is still distinctly Italian and it is very near and well connected to the city centre (10-20 minutes by bus (phone number hidden) by Tram 14 /5 and by underground). It is also possible to walk to Termini and many guests do this wheeling their cases behind them! They often say it is easier than taking public transport and just as quick.
Round the corner from our flat, every morning, in the pedestrian area there is an open market and in the evening, wine bars, pubs, pizzerias, restaurants and unusual shops open up there for business.
Our flat is bright, colourful and unusual, perhaps even quirky, but it is comfortable and we have wi-fi.
I am a Shiatsu Therapist. I live in Rome most of the year but spend the summer in Scotland and many weekends in Puglia where my husband and I work the family land, a little vineyard and olive grove- we make enough wine and olive oil for our own needs.
We have 3 daughters and a variety of pets. Now all three of our daughters have flown the nest. Sophia, our youngest daughter, is at University In the UK (BA Sculpture) ...and she's even taken her cat, Elektra, with her!
By choosing to stay with us you will be helping to finance Sophia's studies....so please come and stay!
