I am a sociologist with an itch for fiction writing, a respectable mother of two and a natural-born Russian who knows how to hold her drink (and your drink too, if need be). I do not smoke, do not snore, and my table manners are exquisite (in comparison to my children). After several years of academic jet-setting from St. Petersburg to London to Germany, I have finally settled in Berlin with my family. At the moment I am working on research about migration from the former USSR to Europe and am writing a novel.
Once a year I go on a two- to three-day getaway to get some inspiration for my work - or, actually, strike that out, to get some sleep. I am looking forward to reading a book in the park, staring at water and walking mindlessly. I prefer cycling to all other forms of transportation, tend to spend too much time in art museums and I am always in search for a good flea market. To a host, I can be invisible - unless you would like to share a drink with me, which I would gladly accept.
And last but not least: when logging on Spotify, I use headphones.
