I had a fantastic stay at Dr Merissa's property. The resort was really nice and very well maintained. Service staff was very courteous. Dr Merissa was very quick to respond to my questions or requests and she worked in a timely manner with the resort property managers to arrange everything for me. I have there on a business trip but I will highly recommend this nice and spacious place for families as well.
Thanks Vaibhav, and it's Marissa ;)
Dr. Marissa was very easy to chat with. I stayed at her place for New Years and felt very much at home. I didn't meet her in person but she was informative of where I could find things. The house was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet and relaxing. The beach is close by and many restaurants by main st. Even for New Years the neighborhood was peaceful no parties. I will defiantly stay again .
We really had a nice time staying in Dr.Marissa's apartment. It was everything as described. We felt very comfortable and it was like staying in a home away from home. I loved the location of the apartment it was a quiet and classy neighborhood. There are lots of good restaurants on the main street and a beautiful seashore both of them in walking distance from the apartment.
Glad you enjoyed the Harmony House of Healing :)
Staying at Dr. Marissa's felt like staying at a friend's home. She calls her home "the house of harmony" and truly welcomes you to use anything you'd like. I found that to be so kind.
This older apartment complex is clean and quiet -- which is a delightful surprise because it is also so close to Main Street and to the beach! You just walk one long block to Main St where you find great eateries, shops, coffee, etc and one long block to the sand of Seal Beach. The pier is also nearby, where we walked and enjoyed sitting together.
Because this looks like the host's main home, there is not a lot of room for a guest's items (i.e. a place to hang clothes, or to unpack items out of suitcase and/or put things in the refrig/freezer). We managed fine though -- we just kept things in our suitcases and pushed things aside in the freezer and refrigerator in order to make room for our food.
My husband and I used the master bedroom and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the shower had good water pressure. I loved the sound of the water fountain outside the bathroom window every morning. My husband was a little too warm (beach apartments typically have heating but not A/C) so we bought a fan for him to use at night -- and the white noise was nice too. :)
Dr. Marissa even left us a key to the laundry room and her parking pass! See what I mean? Just like a friend. :) We did not meet in person but she was wonderfully responsive via text.
Oh! And another kindness: Marissa was so flexible and allowed us to extend our time, so we could arrive a day early.
We had a lovely time, and especially enjoyed the uncrowded, cool, breezy beach and quaint town.
This place would work especially well for a couple with two elementary-aged children (since there is a second bathroom and bedroom with a trundle bed). My recommendation for a family: bring beach chairs and boogie boards for the ocean -- and board games to play on the big living room floor. Fun!
Very nice place, clean well equipped room. The check in took over half an hour but the location of this place is unbeatable! Would go back there
