Being here was like a dream!!! People are very gentil and kind!! Thank you for everything!!
Adnane, our host, was really nice. My 6 year old daughter and I arrived very late (2am) and Adnane was here to greet us.
We stayed in the Mint Room which was very cosy, quiet and cool thanks.
The pool was great to cool down during the warm hours of the day, especially with a young kid.
In the morning we were greeted with a very nice and huge breakfast mixing traditional Moroccan dishes and western-style pastries. The fresh orange juice was exquisite.
The Riad is located just on the edge of the medina which makes explorations very easy.
I highly recommend Riad Jamaï.
Riad très joli, accueil chaleureux, très conciliant. Nous le conseillons vivement.
Tout c'est bien passer . L'accueil parfait .tajine délicieux et petit déjeuner de même à faire
I used the 'entire house" filter and the reservation came as such. however, two families came the next day which didnt set well with us at all. also, the pool was not suitable for use as the water was green and merky from growth. we were not given keys but rather had to ring the bell to go in. the AC in the entire house doesnt work whuch made it uncomfortably hot except in the bedrooms. we were not allowed to use the kitchen but rather had to ask for water and coffee and had to pay extra for that. We have had better experience in other ABNB locations. We left one day earlier as we were inconvenienced and disappointed.
The host canceled this reservation 6 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Our stay at Riad Jamaï has been one of the best experiences we had in all of Morocco, so much so we hoped that we have stayed for longer. Both of the brothers who worked there are friendly, helpful, patient and very attentive. We had to catch a 3am train on our departure, one of the brothers helped us arrange a taxi in a short notice and stayed up to make sure everything happen without a problem.
The riad itself is spectacular and looks exactly like if not better than the photos. It is located in a quiet corner of the medina but is also close to markets and everything else.
We would highly recommend anyone coming to Fes to stay here.
We stayed two nights in Riad Jamai in mid June, and this was by far the best and most hospitable place during our stay in Morocco. We initially made a reservation for one night, but other plans fell through and we had to stay at Riad Jamai for an extra night. The manager was responsive to our last minute e-mails and gave us an extra night at the same price. The riad itself is slightly difficult to find, located in a decidedly non-tourist part of the medina. I advise all to figure out how to get to the riad ahead of time. The riad is stunningly beautiful, and I strongly recommend you spend an evening on the terrace, which has a stunning view of the medina.
We were happiest with the manager we interacted with during our stay. The first day we woke up at noon, past breakfast hours, but he prepared a meal regardless. The breakfast was superb, and it kept us full until dinner! For dinner, he offered several meal choices, and brought back 2-euro sandwiches at our request. On the second day we had planned to leave early and, though the cook hadn't arrived, the manager still put together a filling breakfast for us.
Riad Jamai is a beautiful building. Situated close to one of the entrances of the medina which is very handy.
There were quite a few annoyances though that made our stay not as pleasant as we had hoped.
The host was very present however struggled with English and giving travel advice and suggestions.
We were told the room we had booked was unavailable prior to our arrival and we were offered dinner as a substitute which was fine however we soon learned that there were many vacant rooms so we were confused as to why our room was changed.
The room that we were given was very small and had a poorly designed bathroom with no proper shower (or hot water) , the water did not drain and the shower sprayed all over the bathroom making it almost impossible to use.
Jamai was on-time and very respectful. He invited me to a drink and it was very pleasant to talk with him. The apartment was left clean. I would host again anytime.
