I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Amy was very welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. I would definitely stay at her home again when I return to Santa Fe.
Amy was a fantastic host! The room and bed were super-comfortable and very clean. She had excellent suggestions for places to go, restaurants, sight-seeing etc. Whole Foods was an easy 5-10 minute walk and she had no problem with me putting a few things in the fridge and offered to let me use the kitchen to prepare meals.
I stayed 3 nights on my way to a retreat in the Tulsas Mountains west of Taos. I did not have a car as I had flown into Albuquerque and taken the Railrunner train from there to Santa Fe (only $9 and 90 minutes). Her house was within easy walking distance (5 minutes) of the Santa Fe Depot and Farmer's Market and was about a 15 minute walk to the plaza. I didn't borrow one of the bikes because everything that I wanted to see was so easy to reach on foot.
The bathroom is shared but this was not a problem - I never found it to be unavailable when I needed it. It does not have a tub - just a shower - which might bother some folks but didn't bother me.
Amy has a beautiful home! She was a wonderful host and did an amazing job of making us feel welcome to her house and to Santa Fe. Being located on a corner, it has a great front yard filled with lavender, and ample seating to enjoy the Santa Fe mornings. The house is also within easy walking distance to the historic Santa Fe Plaza. The bedroom is cozy and has a window to let in the fresh breeze or you could turn on the air if it gets too warm. We had a fantastic visit and great experience with Amy's place!
I stayed with Amy for almost two weeks during my art exhibition in SF. She greeted me daily with a smile, hospitality and generosity. Amy is a wonderful host who welcomes her guests with an authentic adobe Santa Fe environment, with beautiful furnishings, a sunny garden, safe neighorhood and healthy lifestyle. The bike was so useful and fun for quick trips into town (5-10 minutes) and i used to go most places in the city.
Note to AT&T users, SF is not great for communications because of adobe walls, so you have to go outside in the garden to make calls, Wifi was splendid though.
I would most highly recommend Amy and her adorable clean, comfy artistic home.
Amy is a wonderful person with a good soul. I feel like i can count her as a new good friend in Santa Fe!
Amy was the perfect host : attentive, knowledgable and thoughtful. As she was not working the day I arrived, she even very kindly collected me from Lamy station.
Her lovely adobe house is beautifully furnished, has all comforts and is within very close walking or cycling distance from the centre of the town. I really enjoyed my stay there and would most happily recommend Amy's place as a genuine Santa Fe experience with a great host.
Amy is super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. She gave us great tips for things to do in town too. The house is really cute and comfortable and the cat, Mr. Meow, is the cutest. Also the house is walking/biking distance from the center of Santa Fe, we walked there at least once every day.
We had a really lovely time here, would definitely recommend.
Amy is a very nice and friendly host. She made me feel like part of her family. I enjoyed my stay at her house and I would highly recommend this place. It's very quite and close to the Plaza area. She did offer her bike but I usually went around the Santa Fe area first and used my car. I loved also Meow company. This was a great experience.
Amy was a nice and super friendly host. She even moved over to friends and left the whole whole apartment to us. She had many great insider suggestions for a great stay in Santa Fe. Without her hint, we would never have enjoyed a great jazz picnic on Museum Hill.
The house itself is a gem, built in Santa Fe's adobe style and beautifully furnished. It is very central, less than ten minutes to walk to Santa Fe's central plaza and 5 minutes to the next microbrewery. Two supermarkets are also within walking distance. Amy also provides two bikes, which are great for slightly longer distances, e.g. to Museum hill.
Amy is wonderful: a helpful guide, a caring and generous host, and knowledgeable of the delicious local restaurants and things to do in and near town. I felt very welcomed and cared for by Amy, and her house is charming, comfortable, and private. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at her sweet home, and would recommend this spot to anyone - particularly to females and young folks traveling solo.
Amy is super friendly and a dream host! She lent us bikes and made us feel completely at home in her cute house. The location is great - we were able to ride bikes right into the center of Santa Fe in something like 5 minutes! She made us coffee every morning and gave us access to her collection of DVDs. She had all kinds of great recommendations for things to see and places to eat in town and the room was clean, cozy and equipped with television, desk and phone and ipod chargers. We had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Santa Fe!
i have known amy for a number of years. she has always been friendly, positive, kind, and reliable. she is a great parent, caring and loving. she loves to travel and would be a wonderful guest to have in your home. if you have further questions, please feel welcome to contact me.
I've known Amy for over 20 years. We actually met in Paris. Amy is well traveled. I've stayed at her charming home in Santa Fe. Amy is the most wonderful host and always makes her friends and guests feel welcome and is a great tour guide. We've had many experiences, but I'll always remember living in Paris many years ago on a budget and we always had a wonderful time and met people who have remained our friends to this day. I recommend Amy to other Airbnb members because she loves to travel, so she knows how to treat her guests well and likes to share tips about her city. She's responsible, kind, fun, open minded, sweet and an all around magnificent person.
