Restless thirtysomeone, traveller, reader, writer, listener, cyclist (roadie), coffee drinker.
I've just set out into my mid-thirties: that sure sounds dreadful to me but everywhere I go, folks say "you're soooo young" ;-) - and I've travelled around quite a lot over the years but I think it's only in the last few that I've really tried hard to make it more meaningful.
I've never been a beach-and-cocktails type of guy anyway, but I think staying with folks in their home is a big bonus for significant and, in some cases, responsible travel.
I also think that kind of sharing serves the original intent and purpose of the Internet, to facilitate learning from and contact with others rather than to divide us, which I believe a lot of the brazenly commercial online stuff does. Disclaimer: I have worked Internet design jobs for better or worse for over twelve years.
I don't really have a "life motto" as such but I do believe that life is an enquiry. We are supposed to ask questions ;-)
