We try to do our best to make your holiday unforgettable! :)
We had a very good experience staying in Laura's place.
Laura met us in the water-bus's station and led us to the apartment. We enjoyed the apartment and the location which is perfectly located between Realto bridge and St. Marco Sq..
We recommend Laura's apartment for any one who is visiting Venice.
We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. The apartment is very well located, and everything is relatively within walking distance. (Venice is a city for walking anyway!).
The entrance and the stairs look quite run down, but the apartment looks much better: nicely decorated, with very well equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, large closets and a comfy double bed.
Laura and her colleague were very helpful, providing us with a city map and recommendations on restaurants and routes.
My family and I liked Laura's appartment very much.
It is located in the middle of Venice, near the Rialto market, where you can get great sea food.
In the flat you find everything to have an enjoyable stay.
We appreciated very much the small details like a city map of Venice,
an adapter for the plugs etc.
Awesome view and comfortable apartment! Really close to every point of interest.
Laura was very nice with us. Even though we arrived late, she picked us up at the Rialto to lead us to the apartment, she also recommended a good restaurant close to have dinner after 10:30PM.
We recommend this nice place :)
To begin with, Laura is LOVELY! She is a smiley, warm, welcoming host who was waiting at San Silvestro stop for us when we arrived. She was so helpful and we even saw her on the streets of Venice where we stopped and had a chat (and got to see her sister's bridesmaid dress for Laura's upcoming wedding!!). We always felt comfortable contacting her for advice or problems. The apartment is close to the Rialto Bridge and lots of beautiful sites which was a huge plus! It is also very roomy and ideal for a family as there is plenty of space. Due to it being high up, it is secluded so not much pedestrian noise can be heard - a huge plus in Venice!
However, the apartment itself is very underwhelming. The floor is made out of a stoney/concrete material which means the apartment is always quite cold. Since the apartment is very large, so hard to keep warm as the heaters don't reach a very high temperature. The doors are difficult to open and close, mostly because it seems run down. The apartment is also a little bit different to the pictures - for example, the walls are far more bare than the pictures let on, there are no rugs in any of the rooms, the bedspread is a patterned blue instead of the red, and there is almost no homely clutter (which we usually love!). The access to the bathroom is difficult because it opens onto the laundry so you have to sort of sidle through. We were also charged a tourist tax which we had no idea about - not Laura's fault but still a shock!
Overall, we loved Venice. Travelling as a couple, we generally prefer a smaller place that we can keep cosy and warm. It is by no fault of the host that this accommodation didn't suit us. For a family or a bigger group, it could be perfect! Thank you Laura for making us feeling comfortable and welcome! We LOVED Venice!
This apartment is epic. We could not ask for anything better.
Laura and her staff member who showed us to the apartment were fantastic, very very helpful and willing to recommend great places to eat.
We did not know Venice but this place is in a brilliant location and extremely clean.
The rooms are massive, Laura supplies everything you need for a perfect trip to Venice, we all loved it! I would definately recommend this apartment to all.
Laura's apartment was great! It was very spacious and comfortable. Our first night there we stopped by a local market and cooked our own dinner in the apartment. It's centrally located and was a quick 10-15 minute walk to anywhere we wanted, even as far as St. Mark's square.
