Laura's apartment is very comfortable and easy to get to.
The apartment is larger than it seems in the photos. It is a big studio that can be separated into a one bedroom and living room by closing some doors.
The apartment has floor heating which is amazing!
It is very well equipped and the bed is super comfy!
It feels more like a little house on the canal thanks to the separate entrance and backyard.
The apartment is a mere 10 mins walk from the train station which makes it really easy to get to if you're arriving that way.
Take into account that you'll have to traverse a bunch of bridges that all have stairs which is not great for big suitcases but definitely doable.
The location is a bit off to the side of the touristy places which means it's much quieter and nicer.
You can get anywhere in Venice with a short walk but beware of google maps which tends to get lost and not mark some bridges. The location of the apartment according to Google is way way off so mark the location yourself once you get to it with the help of the Slow Venice team.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
A Laura's assistant met us at the Roma square. (To the apartment is just 5 min walking)
The description and pictures were accurate, it was clean and well equipped, nice linens, shampoo, etc.
it's 20 minute walking to San Mark cathedral, but you can take the vaporetto (water bus)at Roma square ( 5 min walking)
The only issue was that at times the wifi was very slow .
I recommend it.
Laura's flat was a wonderful place to stay in Venice. It is within walking distance to the train station and the major sights in Venice but it is also in an area that is kind off the beaten path and quiet, which we really appreciated! The flat is beautiful and has everything that is needed to make a vacation comfortable! We were also provided with a map and booklet of recommended places to eat in Venice and were met at the train station and walked to our flat, both which we really appreciated! If you are staying in Venice, this is a great place to stay for your visit!
Our stay was wonderful. Check-in was made easy by having someone meet us at the water bus stop.
The apartment is large and roomy. Nice kitchen and bathroom too. Everything about our stay was picture perfect.
Great location 5 min walk to Rialto market and 15 min walk to Piazza San Marco. Restaurant just around the corner. Apartment is clear and quiet to get a good night rest. Toilet is spacous.
The apartment was just as expected- the listing is very accurate. The space was perfect for us- a group of three. The rooms are separated by the long corridor/ living room area and we found that there was a good amount of space for us to sit together there, or around the kitchen table. The apartment is really nice and quiet, and very well presented. We loved the painted furniture in the double bedroom!
We visited at the end of October, so it was a little dark and cool, but the heating system at Ca' Perdon is amazing and warmed us up in seconds. There was plenty of additional bedding, and a wonderful hot shower.
Everything was really great! This is a really lovely space well located for walking the city or taking the vaporetti somewhere.
Laura, our host, and Carlotta her assistant were helpful and generous, and made us feel welcome. Thank you very much!
Our stay was very pleasant. The place is very spacious and comfortable. The location was fantastic, although a little noises, it was worth it! Laura kept in contact with us up until our arrival. Her assistant picked us up at the U.S. stop and showed us around a bit.
Laura at Slow Venice was a great host. The service we received prior to our visit was really helpful. We had some reasonably complicated travel arrangements to master in order to reach her but she gave us clear directions and was prompt responding to texts so, thanks to her, it all went very smoothly. Later in our stay, we had a power cut, and she was equally efficient sorting that out. When we checked out, we were able to store our luggage at Slow Venice HQ until our flight, which was also invaluable.
The apartment was spacious and well-equipped and in a fantastic location, tucked neatly away, but right in the thick of things, too. It felt very safe and central.
It's worth mentioning that there were a lot of steps to negotiate which would be challenging for visitors with mobility problems.
All in all, as four ladies celebrating a 60th birthday, we had an absolutely wonderful time in Venice, using this apartment as our base, and whole-heartedly recommend it.
Really great flat right in the centre of the action in Venice. We were met by Carlotta who took us to the flat from the Rialto Market boat stop. The flat is on the first floor of a traditional Venetian apartment building so the stairs are steep and the head room is limited, this could be an issue for anyone who isn't very mobile but was ok for us. Once inside the flat was very spacious and incredibly clean. There are 2 large bedrooms and it was perfect for 3 friends travelling together. There was some noise from the street but I quite enjoyed it as a background sound. At night it was quiet. There are lots of nice restaurants and bars if you look in the right places, the host guidebook was very useful. Would definitely recommend!
