It's a small but comfortable apartment for two people - although I stayed at Sam's with my wife and young daughter. The bed are super comfortable. The location couldn't be better; it's very close to the subway and places of interests in Cobble Hill and Carroll Garden. Thanks Sam, for making everything like a breeze!
The appartment is well equiped , convenient bathroom , convenient & equiped kitchen . The living room has TV including cable .
Extra shits & towels . Bedroom has 2 full size comfortable beds .
The 1st day the cable was disconnected & the Sam came and fixed it .
The neighborhood is nice , quiet street few steps from the F&G subway . Few steps from Smith street full of evrything coffee , restaurants , bars etc .
We had a good expérience, Sam was very nice, and give us advice
Sam was a great host. And his place in Cobble hills is really close to the subway!
We spent 4 nights and we loved it.
Will book again next time I am in NYC.
I booked this apartment for my father and his girlfriend, not for myself. It was their first time ever using Airbnb, and they were extremely happy with the experience. The apartment, according to them, was very clean, secure, comfortable, and conveniently located. They took advantage of the numerous restaurants in the area and were able to park a car both in a metered space and in a nearby lot very cheaply. The apartment is incredibly close to the subway, but my father enjoyed the walkability of the area and walked from the apartment into Manhattan and back. He even said it would be a perfect place for my own family of four to stay, so I look forward to possibly taking advantage myself in the future.
Sam was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The apartment was nice, clean and pretty much like the pictures. If your visiting NY this is the prefect location with the subway right on the doorstep.
We had a bit of a misunderstanding regarding number of beds, but Sam was promptly there to sort it out, so let him know how many beds you'll be needing. :)
I now know what trendy up close means, not trendy from afar;) it is an older building that smells very strongly in the hallways. The odor blockers in and out front of the the apt. were helpful for sure. The Apt is old, walls and floors are settled/slanted, but clean and had all the amenities. It reminded me of my college days in Amsterdam. The building was quiet and conveniently located to the F&G train. I was there for work, and it was good for that purpose as I only needed a place to sleep.
Sam was a great host! He was waiting right outside the building when I arrived and he was easy to reach by cell phone. The apartment is truly in a wonderful neighborhood and conveniently located a few feet away from a train stop. The accommodations were exactly what I was looking for. A nice lay out with two beds at a fantastic price. Sam even put in a window AC unit for me, which was very very nice. All in all I would highly recommend staying at Sam's place.
Overall a good stay at a competiyive price for such a good location (cool Smith Street right on the F and G train at Bergen Str). Sam was a good host, helped us with bags upon arrival and volounteered a baby crib on his own initiative. The place could use a bit of work, better floors and some modern plumbing, but overall it is cute and cozy with a nice light to the living areas. I would say it is best for 2 people + child/baby for short stay, and just for a couple over longer stays. Some amenities great (good coffee machine and cooking stuff), some are missing (but i think Sam is probably making it better after each stay). Overall, if you are ok with cute and quaint rather than stylish and fancy, then don't hesitate to take advantage of this place's strong suits : location, price and lay-out.
First time staying in Brooklyn and the experience is very good. This unit is what I would call an in-law. It's 2 units behind the original structure which borders the street. A little odd at first, but it does reduce noise from street. It was very clean and comfortable. subway is literally 50 feet away which makes it really easy to get into Manhattan. On Smith street, we found very good Thai, Dominican and traditional American, Atlantic is only another couple blocks away which offers more options. Really good location, but neighborhood gets a little dodgy to the east so stay west, north or south.
Sam is a really gracious host. Even had a little fresh food for us when we arrived. He checked in with us a couple of times and offered us suggestions for food in the neighborhood,
I would definitely stay here again.
