Perfect location, perfect apartment, perfect host! Highly recommended!
Michele and his helpers were easy to deal with. His helpers met us upon arrival and they were helpful, thorough and they even recommended a good lunch place a few doors down. The best part of the apt was the location-- easy to get everywhere. Great places to eat nearby-- did I mention that already?? We had 2 little kids with us and there was an excellent playground 2 blocks from the apt. I was worried about the second bedroom being too load at night (i'm a light sleeper) but it wasn't too bad. The only things we didn't like about the apartment were the bath and shower. Not great water pressure, drainage, etc. The towels weren't great either. Sort of a bummer to not have a great shower after a long day of travel but not atypical for an old Italian building. I guess it helped to shift my mind from this being a "luxury apartment" to just a really good apartment.
Glorious! Just returned (party of four) from two glorious weeks in Rome staying in this apartment. Judy's review below presents the pros (many) and cons (one: the disturbing nightly noisiness that wafts up from the street that is heard in the front bedroom) very well. My additions: PROS: I love to cook and this kitchen and surrounding markets are most accommodating. An outdoor market for produce, meats and fish, is around the corner. A small market across the street a few doors down to the right has wonderful cheeses, good bread, sliced meats, friendly proprietors and a good selection is wine. There is a bakery in the neighborhood with pignoli and "real" cream filled pastries to die for. Lots of places to eat. Stroll down Via Del Moro, minutes away, for tons of options and be sure to stop at Fiorno La Renella for pizza. Seek out the area near St. Cecilia's - best meal of the week: LE MANI in PASTA. Via dei Genovesi 37 (make a reservation), and at the end of our trip, if you like Indian Food - RADJHANI, Via di Santa Cecelia, 8. As a last note, I can turn this apartment's CON into a PRO: if you are looking for peace and quiet, go stay in the Villa Borghese area of Rome. If you are looking to be in the thick of it and experience the liveliness of Rome, this "delicious" apartment at Via Di San Francesco a Ripa, 169 is the place you want to be. I am hoping that subliminally, I learned some Italian from all that Iate night chatter that eventually lulled me off to sleep...
The apartment in Trastevere was in an excellent location, with nearby restaurants and a great market just around the corner. We had a bit of trouble when checking in, but it was resolved quickly and efficiently. The apartment was spacious and perfect for two couples. Thanks for a great stay in Rome!
I was very pleased with our charming apartment in Trastevere.
It was very well located. Close to Tram 8 and buses. Close enough to walk anywhere you want in Rome Center for most major attractions.
The apartment was clean and well furnished. Kitchen equipped. The living room was quite large.
Back bedroom very quiet.
Loved having morning tea and coffee on the patio.
Great free wifi.
Efficient check in and out.
CONS: The major downside was the bedroom next to the street. It was VERY loud until early morning hours. Then morning traffic was a problem. If you have concerns with that you would not want to stay in that room. Maybe a sound machine might help with the noise.
Washer worked but dryer didn't. It was not a problem with us, we just hung our clothes out to dry. Just a warning in case you plan on using it on the last day. You will need to leave time for the clothes to dry naturally.
LOVED the apartment....just wish the noise problem in the front bedroom could be remedied some how.
Fantastic apartment in the heart of Trastevere. I've only seen very apartments in Rome that are this spacious, elegant, and well located.
In September, my three friends and I had a delightful stay at Michele's apartment in Trastevere. We were thrilled to find a property that could accommodate our larger group so comfortably, and we were not disappointed when we arrived. The neighborhood is a chic respite from the nonstop clamor of Rome, yet is still very close to the popular sights and gathering places across the city. The apartment itself is elegantly appointed with generously-sized rooms that are beautifully maintained for guests, just as the photos show. It is truly a gem.
Michele was a very communicative host from the start, explaining what information I would need; and Italo, who met us for check-in and check-out, was also friendly, prompt, and quick with suggestions for our stay. I highly recommend Michele's apartment for other Airbnb guests, and I hope to return soon.
The stay at the Villa on the beach "UnTerzoDiLuna" was perfect. The villa and the panorama on the bay were excellent. A lot of privacy also on this private domain with a private road to a private beach. But above all we enjoyed the gentle hospitality of José (the owner of the villa). She made our vacation very special. Handsome also to get a lot of insight information about the best restaurants and historical places in the neighbourhood. We loved our stay in Sicily and we cherish now fine memories. This was our first experience with airbnb.com and we have reason enough to manage our next vacation again on airbnb.com.

I know Michele since many years, our parents knows each others since they were kids.
We use to meet in Spain, in Cadaques, where we love to stay.
I've been in the house of Michele in Roma many times, it's in a wonderful location, very charmy and full full equipped. I strongly suggest his apartment if you have to spend some days in Rome.
