The room we were accommodated in was not the one showed in the picture, but like that one it was small with limited space to move around. It included a double bed, a small but tall cupboard, a chair, a night table, and central water heating that only worked sporadically, as previously programmed by Erika. This was the main drawback of the room, as it was extremely cold during our stay (November).
The rules of the house are plastered on the walls, and they include Erika's e-mail and phone number to contact her. Unlike other people, we think most rules were appropriate. One of the rules however is that you can't shower or use the upstairs bathroom after 11 PM (there is a small toilet downstairs). This was not an issue during our stay (low season), but take this in consideration if you're staying during the months of June-Sept. This upstairs bathroom was clean at all times and ran hot water in the shower. The downstairs toilet is rather small, but was also clean.
The kitchen is big and clean, and it includes all the utensils and electrical appliances you may need to cook your meals. This is the only common area of the house. It includes a washing machine, but you have to ask for permission to use it.
The Wi-Fi connection was good throughout the house.
As for the location, the house is 15 minutes by bus from the center (Spire of Dublin), with several lines serving the city center, and two of them going to the Airport (take in consideration that most lines only work from 8 AM to 11 PM, and there are only a few night lines). If you have to go to the Airport in the middle of the night, we recommend booking a taxi in advance (the price is around 20 euros). The neighborhood is rather dull, with only a few bars and restaurants/cafes, one Tesco and very few other stores.
Erika was not able to meet us the day we arrived, but she communicated with us by Airbnb messages, and told us how to get into the house. We met her on the second day of our stay while we were talking to another girl staying there. This was by chance as she didn't introduced herself, but I recognized her by her WhatsApp image and introduced ourselves. This felt awkward at the moment, but she warmed up to us during our stay, and even agreed to give us an extra blanket we asked for as our room was freezing.
To sum it up, our stay was OK, but we think there are a few things that still can be done to better the guests stay, and make them feel more welcomed, namely working heating in rooms (or mandatory extra blankets if that is not possible), eliminating the upstairs bathroom rule as we feel one small toilet is not enough for so many rooms.
The studio is pretty much what it looks like in the pics, tiny but functional. I never saw anyone, everything was handled thru email, the key was left in a lock box outside the house.
It was a satisfactory stay. The bathroom mat needed cleaning. It's not in the best area, but it's close enough to the main bus station where you can get a bus to/from the airport.
My only issue was that when I tried to extend my stay by one night (over a month before our trip), Erika informed me that the studio wasn't available but that we could stay with a friend of hers and pay cash.
After confirming TWICE that this arrangement was on, I contacted Erika the day before checkout to get the details about our move. She responds a few hours before our checkout to inform us that we could no longer stay at her friend's place and were effectively out on the street. A further email to see if anything else could be arranged went unanswered.
What had been a pleasant stay quickly went downhill with a mad scramble to secure accommodation for our last night. This was especially tough as it was during the Web Summit conference week and hotels were fully booked and charging astronomical prices.
I would have been fine if Erika had simply answered that she couldn't help out but to promise us accommodation a month in advance and pull it away hours before checkout and leave us effectively stranded is unconscionable. I could have made my own arrangements. I got lucky that a friend I ran into at the conference was leaving a night earlier than expected and I took over his accommodation.
In summary, yes the accommodation is as described, but do not take Erika at her word and make sure that you cover your bases.
The apartment was clean, 10 minutes walk from the city centre and had great wifi. It was a little sparse and the mattress in the first bedroom was very thin and lumpy, there were no extras but this is a modestly priced accommodation.

Our stay was great! Drumcondra is a great location.. Erika was nice we were provided with the essentials! Would stay here again if I found myself in Ireland again
I totally must not recomend you to choose this house for staying.. Don't! EVER NEVER consider it and Plz check out another accomodation for your exceptional trip. I AM definately SURE this place is the WORST PLACE I have stayed so far. Everything in the place is never suitable for travelers like us. The room is far smaller than expected and the matris on the bed makes cracking sound every moment. Wifi is not working well upstair on which we ve stayed. The worst thing is attitude of the host. Upon our arrival, I took a shower and I met the host saying hello are you erika? her response was this ' yes,(she seemed like she doesn't want to talk with me) Don't take shower late okay? Didn't you see the notification on the wall?? the notification is that 'you cannot take a shower after 10pm, also you cannot take use bathroom too. What a ridiculous situation it is? As I know most of the people using airbnb are tourists. it is nonsensical that tourists have to be in house before 9:30 to take a shower. If I knew this information on the airbnb websites before hand, I would haven't chose this strange house. the room was really dirty. there were orange peel and some trash on the shelf. my tour was almost perfect except this house. on the last day, she came to urge us to check out eailer. Eventhough there were 10min left. She even tried to open our door without knocking and asking us cause we were in house at 10:01(we were about to leave as there is a mention we have to leave befor 10:00 this is also nonsense the even hotel cannot do this right? She also called her house as company?? it is definitely strange). The strangest thing I saw in this house is that we are not allowed to using bathroom after 10pm But My friend saw she used... What the heck of this situation is? Do you think am I exaggerating too much? This kind of accomodation should be wiped out. Her behavior that clearly contrasts(exact opposite of) kindness in Dublin messed up our trip. As a result, I strongly recommend you not to stay here. I hope you will not choose the same thing which is worst choice I did during the trip.
This was a lovely stay and was very fair for it's price! Not too far from central at all and the host/housekeeper was helpful. Only thing is there wasn't a dryer, just a washer! Would recommend.
