We were very well looked after from being picked up to having a lazy (and lovely) breakfast when ever we got up and being taken to an exhibition opening. The place is beautiful, very laid back, out favourite thing was the tortoises! Thank you Veronique!
Veronique was so kind and helpful to us in preparing our stay with her, which unfortunately we had to cancel at the last minute due to our flight being cancelled. She had arranged a taxi from the airport and was so thoughtful in many ways. We very much look forward to staying with her when we finally make it to Marrakesh!
We had a fantastic stay at Veronique´s place. She offered us to send a taxi and welcomed us on our arrival.
Veronique was lovely and welcomed us with a traditional mint tea and a tour of her home. It really is an amazing space full of authenticity and charm!
The Bab El Ill is brilliantly located for the better half of the souks, as the stalls nearer the main square (place jama el fna - which is 15 mins walk away) are a bit tacky, samey and more expensive. Veroniques Riad is also a great location for visiting the main tourist sights, i.e Jardin Majorelle, Musee d'Art etc.
Our room had its own en suite and opened up to a central tiled courtyard full of orange trees. Breakfast was served every morning and was just enough to set us on our way for the day.
If you're looking to do a quick sweep of the city over a long weekend, going to be out more than jn, then we would most definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in this riad, located very close to the centre of the Medina in Marrakesh. Veronique was helpful and welcoming and provided a great breakfast! Relatively basic accommodation but excellent value for the price :)
We had the most wonderful time staying with Veronique. The riad is beautiful, with a roof terrace and the courtyard smells of orange blossom and is home to 2 tortoise! Veronique arranged a taxi to pick us up and greeted us to who is the way. She also appeared from nowhere and led us to our destination when, on the first day we got lost! Would absolutely stay here again. Loved the neighbourhood and Veronique was wonderful! Thank you
We had a fantastic stay at Veronique’s Riad. Veronique had very kindly arranged a cab to greet us at the airport and take us to the Riad. The location was extremely convenient, only about a 15 min walk to Jaama el Fna through all the souks. Considering it is quite central and there a main street close by it was very quiet and peaceful, also has an amazing roof top terrace to relax on after a long day exploring. We had breakfast provided every day and Veronique was extremely helpful in terms of where we should eat and what we could see. Would definitely recommend this Air BnB for a stay in Marrakech!
Thanks for having us! And say hi to John-Walou & Khalid
Just returned from a gorgeous 3 nights stay at Veronique's place with my two friends. We shared a comfortable, spacious room off the beautiful courtyard. We loved everything about staying with Veronique - the orange trees, her friendly cat, the funny sleepy tortoises, the delicious food ( breakfast and lunch), endless pots of tea and coffee on the sunny roof terrace or the cool, calm courtyard... but most of all it was great meeting Veronique and getting to know her. She is a great host and open, friendly person. She arranged a pick up from the airport and came to meet us, took us to a flea market and even joined us at a lovely bar on our last night. Staying at Veronique's was definitely the best way to experience Marrakech!
Veronique is a very friendly and lovable host! She organized a transfer from the airport to her Riad so that we had no problems finding her Riad. Having arrived, we could choose between the small and the big room. We chose the big room and I would recommend choosing the big room if you want some privacy from your travel partner when you are in the bathroom.
The location is brilliant! Walking about 10-15 minutes to the Djemaa el Fna is no Problem due to an easy way through all the souks.
Veronique gave us some good tips for restaurants near by and prepared us a simple but delicious breakfast (with home made orange marmalade :) ) on the rooftop terrace.
Our room itself was a little bit cold, but Veronique gave us some electric heaters. I think this is only a problem if you are traveling in February.
Important to all people having allergic issues with cats: There are many cats on the roofs of Marrakech. Therefore, there are many hairs from these cats especially on the rooftop terrace and not in the sleeping room.
All in all we loved our stay at Veronique!
Thank you Christofer, Anna it was a pleasure to host you !
