I used to be a professor of legal studies and social psychology. These days I'm sometimes a writer, more often a photographer (drawn especially to abstract imagery), and intermittently an activist. I've lived in many parts of the US and in recent years have visited Canada (Ontario and British Columbia), Japan, Berlin, Amsterdam, Turkey (Istanbul and Diyarbakir), Israel, and the Palestinian West Bank.
Responsible and patient, experienced living with friends and roommates, I'm open-minded, curious about different cultures, and easy to get along with. I have some experience with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and other approaches to improving communication, empathy, and openness skills. I pick up after myself, I cook, I like to connect. In September 2013 I put everything I own in storage and left Boston to wander around the US and Canada, and perhaps abroad, most likely for a year or two before settling down again, wherever that might be.
