Lovely location and very kid friendly. We loved the trampoline. The house was a good size for our 6 adults and 2 kids but was in need of minor repairs. Comfortable beds. Nice BBQ. The outdoor play structure was a bit rickety. We wished the pool had been set up. Overall a great getaway.
House was excellent and pretty much what we expected. The 3 bedrooms were very spacious and house is situated on quiet dead-end road so very private. Will definitely consider staying again!
The house was great - very close to Camelback Resort - perfect for a winter ski weekend. Petra was very nice and accessible. My friends and I would definitely stay here again!
thank you Amanda,anytime my pleasure
It was a good experience, plenty of bed sheets and towels. Didn't have a problem getting into the house and after speaking with Petra was able to extend the hours. Would definitely book again for another ski trip. About a ten minute drive from camelback resort. Good stay!
anytime Diana,thank you
The house was perfect for a weekend ski trip to camelback mountain. Both the mountain as well as stores for supplies were conveniently close by. The house was clean and comfortable and had a fully euipped kitchen. Ample room for our party of six. We definitely plan to stay again.
It was very easy communicating with Petra and making a reservation. Once we arrived at the house, our stay was lovely. The house is very comfortable and was perfect for us (9 friends). The house is very close to camelback and perfect for skiing.
any time!!thank you
We had a great family vacation. It was so nice to have a home, that was comfortable and in a beautiful area. Our son and his family joined us, it was great to have a crib, high chair and play equipment for the kids. We did not get to meet Petra, but she was very available by text, when we had a question.
This was our second stay in Petra's house, this time with more children and once again the place provided everything a family(ies) with small children could wish for. We noted nice updates to the house such as a brand new bathroom and a big trampoline which was a huge success with the kids. Petra's house is very children friendly providing all conveniences and entertainment. The location is also great - very quiet apot in the woods and a quick stroll to the lake. It is also close to a big outlets plaza and a ski resort.
Communicating with Petra was very easy. I totally recommend
her as a host. We really enjoyed our stay at the house. Thank you, Petra!
Helen thank you very much my pleasure ,anytime!!
The house was located in a quiet, woodsy, private "homeowners association" neighborhood, and her house is on a dead-end street. So I felt safe letting my kids run around outside. They LOVED the huge trampoline, which was in great condition and was surrounded by protective netting. I have to admit, I loved the trampoline too. My kids played on the private swing/slide for a hot minute, until they found spiders. Then they played on the HOA's playground at the lake instead.
The above-ground private inflated outdoor pool was 4' deep, so my little one couldn't stand. His floaty came in handy. You get in the pool by climbing up and then down a rickety ladder. The ladder worked fine and no one had a problem. Except the kids thought the pool was too cold - it wasn't heated.
The furniture and dishes etc. inside the house were not in great condition, but they were functional. There was TV and wifi, and lots of kids toys. Bring your own pillow if you're picky with pillows. There is no air conditioning, but we didn't need it. It was generally cool at night (mid-July), and there were ceiling fans too.
The lake is very close, walking distance, maybe 4 houses down. There is no beach or swimming access, so we were sad. There was a boatyard with lots of rowboats and canoes upside down, but we learned that we weren't allowed to use them. So we were stuck looking at the lake - not using it at all. I wish I had known in advance. Oh well. Also next to the lake were an overgrown horseshoe pit, covered picnic tables, and half-court basketball court.
The host was very prompt with her emails, which I appreciated. I even had some questions while I was at her house, and she responded very quickly. Nearby were the Sunset Hill Shooting Range and the House of Candles (with live animals).
This house was great for our family vacation. Our group included four adults and four children under the age of four. The pool, swing playset and the trampoline kept them busy for days! Another small playground and lake is a 3 minute walk down the gravel road. Casino and outlets are both really close by!
Petra responded quickly to all questions via email and text.
The house was a bit hot but it was very humid weekend. We stuck a fan from the closet in one of the bedroom windows, which helped a lot (so did the rain storm!).
