Small but very compfy room! I lived there for one month. Clean and feels very safe! Fiona is a very good and helpfull host and her assisant Gennie is also very helpfull. I highly recommend it!
So Inn was everything I needed for my short stay (6 weeks) in Hong Kong. Clean and modern, everything working properly (air con, toilet, shower), close to shops, restaurants, and most importantly the MTR. The surrounding area was also safe through all hours of the night, as there was always people out. The staff, particularly Gennie, was also very helpful and friendly.
The apartment is small, but to visit Hong Kong, is what you get, because there is little housing and rises in the morning and not return until night to sleep, but not necessary. Have what it takes and wifi is good.
We had some trouble finding the building because the front door is in an alley way. Once we found the apartment, check-in was easy. The four flights of stairs was a little tough though. The apartment is the same as the pictures. I already expected the small size. The bed is really tight for two adults and the springs on the bed were really uncomfortable. This cause for restless sleep. Everything was okay until on my last night, I noticed a cockroach the size of my pinky on my shoe. I managed to kill it but I was so disgusted. An hour later, I saw another cockroach in the closet and I did NOT manage to catch it. It went behind the bed and there was NO WAY we would be able to sleep after that. We checked all our belongings for roached and then packed up. It was midnight already but we called a family friend to stay a night at their place. We had to get out of the apartment. I can't believe we stayed here for so many nights with roaches. The apartment is really small so I'm thinking the roaches probably got on the bed too. It gives me the shivers. I would NEVER stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at the So Inn apartment - it's location was great, just a 5 minute walk to the MTR and then another 10 or 15 minutes to the centre of the city.
Sham Shui Po was a great alternative to staying around Central HK - we were about the only western people we saw there in four days, and the flea markets were great to experience.
The room itself is a little compact - but everything in HK seems that way, and it was perfect for our short stay.
Wifi was quick, room and bathroom clean and new and Gennie who met us was very helpful!
It is a tiny room for two. The location is great, and is only 4 minutes walk from MTR Sham Shui Po. The building is newly renovated and is clean. The arrangement inside the apartment is compact but functional. The sound proofing is not good, but the hostess Fiona is very accommodating and helpful. It is a good value accommodation. Room 1D is bigger and has washer/dryer and a hot plate.
Comfy but super tiny. The location was pretty convenient (ll have to walk around to find an open diner.
The location was very convenient to all sorts of HK styled restaurants and shops as well as the closest MTR station (Sham Shui Po). The bed is a little harder than I expected. I like how the building is locked with a security code system, but the entrance is in a side alley. Also, the streets around the building is a little quiet once it's night time. That's probably one of the downsides of that area. Also the building is a little old on the outside (the interior is new and renovated). I do occasionally see cockroaches running around in our unit, even though i understand that is probably because the unit is in an older building.
Street-wise, this place is relatively near to the MTR station and has easy access to a variety of food and convenient stores. Don’t let the size of the room fool you, as it has all the essential amenities available. Located at the 4th floor of the building, it can be quite challenging if you’re carrying down with a heavy luggage.
My husband and I stayed there for a week. Fiona was really nice to let us checked in at around 11:30am. The room is clean and tidy. We enjoyed the time staying in So Inn. There is a local Hong Kong food stall just right opposite to the road and lots of restaurants around the area. The location is very convenient to get to everywhere in Hong Kong. We could even just walked to Mongkok to enjoy the great shopping area. The only we would complain about is the toilet is fairly small. My husband and I could not sit properly on the toilet and since the shower is not separate with the toilet and the sink, we made the toilet all wet everytime we had a shower. We both understand that Hong Kong is a crowded place and we both accept the fact the we got more than we pay. I would recommend everyone to stay at So Inn and would like to come back there next time. One more funny experience is my husband and I both caught a local guy doing a piss on the side street which is just right next to the front door of So-Inn. That was hilarious !!! lol
