I am a mature woman. I am currently working teaching Indigenous students on a remote island off the Northern Territory in Australia. Mostly I have been a primary school teacher but have worked as a project officer for NSW Police and NSW DET (Department of Education and Training) in Australia. Early in my working life I illustrated, took photographs and created resources for schools.
My two daughters are now adults and live independently.
I enjoy singing in choirs and for several years I sang in Solidarity Choir in Sydney. Also sang twice in the massed choir at Sydney Opera House at Christmas:Handel's Messiah.
I like to view art in galleries, visit museums, churches, cathedrals and temples, go to concerts and festivals, watch performances in theatres, read, walk, swim, draw, go to markets and shop, and enjoy the company of people but I also like my solitude.
I am reliable, punctual and honest.
I like to stay in comfortable places when I travel. My backpacking days are behind me! I also like to meet new people and visit friends who may be in other countries. Most recently I have been to Cambodia to fulfil a lifelong dream of visiting Angkor Wat and visit a friend who loves there.
I guess I try to live by "To thine own self be true" but my favourite quote is from an Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore.."God respects me when I work but he loves me when I sing".
