Lucia was helpful and accommodating -- even though we didn't meet in person. We were arriving in BsAs at an inconvenient time considering that the rental is not close to her home or job, so we arranged for her to leave the rental keys with some friends at the front desk of their hotel, and it all went smoothly.
The loft itself is super cool and a generous amount of space for our family of 3. Our son slept on the couch upstairs (not a hide-a-bed, but once you take the back cushions off, it's the size of a twin. Just make sure you arrange for Lucia to have sheets for the couch). We loved having a kitchen which was well-equipped for our needs (namely, breakfast and midnight snacks, as we were out and about during the day and through the evening).
The location is killer. Palermo Soho is chock-full of chic shops, lots of restaurants, and a couple of plazas. There is a playground at Plaza Armenia (super for the kiddo!), and on the weekends Plaza Serrano hosts a nice feria artesanal. Plenty of cafes, ice cream, and bars around too. We liked that Antares brew pub was a quick walk from the rental, and we had a delicious steak dinner at Lo de Jesus just down the road. The Subte (subway) station at Plaza Italia is not too far of a walk, and we noticed that a bus drives straight past Plaza Armenia which is convenient -- however, we were on foot most of the time and it worked out just fine.
The only warning I have: the rental is a bit dusty, especially in the higher reaches (lofty shelves, light fixtures, etc.) so if you have allergies or sensitivities, keep that in mind. It's a great location even if you are a light sleeper -- despite being in a happening area -- because the rental is set back from the street via a private alley/walkway.
Quick notes about amenities: Really good wifi. I was able to stream from Netflix flawlessly. There is a funky combo 2-in-1 washer-dryer that we didn't really understand. Fortunately there's a manual that we found under the kitchen sink!
We had such a wonderful time staying at this loft. It is located in the heart of dynamic Palermo Soho in Buenos Aires and it is still surprisingly quiet inside. It's light and airy and I couldn't have thought of any other place better than this. Lucía was very attentive and charming throughout our stay. I strongly recommend this place when visiting Buenos Aires as it is tucked in a tourist friendly, trendy neighborhood and next to entertainment spots and shops. There so many good things to say but in a nutshell I would definitely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lucia's loft. She was there to greet us and had a map and information on Buenos Aires available.
The location was as indicated with shops and restaurants in the area but the loft itself was back from the street and quiet. There are also grocery and fruit stores nearby. Busses and subway were within walking distance and taxis were plentiful. After a full day of touring the couches and bed were just right for relaxing. It is a most comfortable home.
An incredible loft in our favourite area of Buenos Aires. It is beautifully decorated and incredibly spacious. Lucia was there to greet us, provide instructions on how to use certain things in the apartment and was also very responsive if we needed her during our stay. This is a really cool spot and a great way to experience this amazing city.
This is a characterful and stylish apartment in a truly fantastic location. As it is situated down a private passageway, it is extremely peaceful and private. The place is also flooded with light, with a lovely airy and spacious feel to it. Everything in the apartment had a slightly worn feel, but it was well maintained and everything was clean and organised.
Lucia was out of the city at the time of our stay and did not arrange for anyone to meet us at the apartment, so we had to go and pick up the keys in another part of the city and find our own way in and around the apartment, which was a shame. We also encountered a few problems during our stay, including getting the air conditioning working and then the hot water which went off intermittently during our time there (and for which we had to re-set the boiler several times). We also were only supplied one usable towel, which wasn't great for two people!
Although Lucia was responsive on email, helping us resolve the heating and air conditioning problems, we felt it would have made a real difference if we had received some face to face contact.
We have read all the previous reviews and it seems that other visitors received a warm and caring welcome, so I think we just got a little unlucky with the timings of our visit. Other than that we had a good time and would recommend the apartment.
Beautiful loft in an awesome location.
Excellent location. Even though the apartment is in the heart of Palermo, close to shops, restaurants and bars, it is really quiet. Definitely recommended.
I stayed in this apartment for 13 days and really enjoyed my time there. It has beautiful light and is very spacious and it's in an great part of Palermo. I will definitely be back!
Muchisimas gracias, Lucia!!
