We stayed three days in Prague and we absolutely don't regret choising Michaela's apartment. The room was cosy, bright and really comfortable. We were free to use the kitchen and the living room as we wanted, the bathroom was perfect... Everything was there to feel at ease.
In addition, the location of the apartment is perfect : it's indeed in the quarter of Zizkov. Walking to the touristic town centre takes only about 20 minutes, with the tram it's only 5 minutes. But it's not the best advantage of this quarter. Zizkov is the perfect place to find a typical Czech restaurant, a nice bar or a night club to party. The prices are really low and you won't be ripped off there.
However, our best surprise wasn't the perfect location of the apartment or the beauty of the Prague's Castle. Our best surprise was our host, Michaela. When we arrived, she welcomed us very friendly and took on her time to explain us what to see and to do in Prague. She gave us maps of the town and of her quarter, showing us the best restaurants and bars, giving us advices about the tour trips, describing us her town... Thanks to her, our stay has been better as we imagined. Thanks to her, we could feel like real Czech people... We weren't tourists any more.
The apartment was very cozy and homey, we enjoyed our stay in Prague despite it being short. Location was pretty good, with many pubs around with good and cheap food. Michaela was very friendly and welcoming, and her recommended free walking tour of old town was very worthwhile. The wifi was not working well though, which is just a small downside to the trip. Other than that, everything else was great!
Yes yes yes! Nicole is right, the wifi router wasn't working 100%, I am sorry about it. Good news everyone! I've got a new wifi router today! :) (March 2015)
Michaela was a wonderful host, we had such a great time in Prague, we enjoyed the czech liquor and turkish coffee she offered us, and the recommendations were excellent. The room was very big, comfortable and warm, and the place was very close to everything.
We stayed only for two nights, but we definitively would like to come back to Prague in the future with more time, there's so much to see!
The room was just as described, really cozy, warm enough in this cold winter and also the apartment was cozy and warm and full of amenities, super good location, nice flat mates and Michaela is very polite and helpful.
The apartment was in a very nice area of Prague - just a short walk to all the sights in the Old Town. The area had lots of nice places to eat and drink with very reasonable prices. Michaela was away when we visited, but her friend Lucia met us at the apartment and was extremely friendly and helpful. She showed us many places to go and gave us a great map of Prague. We had a great time staying in this apartment. Michaela has done a great job with her DIY, and the bed was extremely comfortable!
Our time in Prague was great, cold and really interesting!
We enjoyed it a lot!
The room and whole flat was excellent! Clean, inviting, warm!! :)
If there should be a next time, we will stay there again!
Thank you so much, Michaela!
Grettings from Germany!
The flat is very nice and well equiped! A very nice place to stay during 11 days! The neighbourood is also very good with a lot of restaurants and bars less expensive and more welcoming than in the city centre. I strongly recommended it for someones who want to really live a czech experience!
Great Room. Def. Recommended!
Apartment was very comfortable and cosy. Location was also good near by metro and tram station. Room was spacious than I thought. Prague is so beautiful and perfect city to travel! So is this apartment. If I go to Prague again, I'll use this house too.
The check-in was easy and our kind host gave us a map and much information about great bars and restaurants in Prague. The appartment is furnished creative and unique at the same time. Also it has everything you'll need for your stay.
The connection to the city center is easy and won't take long.
All in all I can recommend the appartment and would definitely return.
Michaela is a super guest, always in a good mood and very friendly.when she left the room, everything was clean and tidy.
I will be very happy to host her again. welcome anytime Michaela.
Au plaisir de te recevoir à nouveau et de pouvoir avoir d'autres échange
Although Michaela only stayed one night in my home I can stay she is a very open, interested in and accommodating person.
Michaela was a great guest! Apartment was left clean, she was very nice and charming. Thank you and will be happy to see you again in Israel
The best i can imagine
Michaela and her family were nice guests, I think they are enjoyed Budapest as well.
Michaela was a really friendly and intresting person when I met with her.
Misha is a great person, very helpful and will give you a lot information about cool places to visit. Also a good comrade to go for a beer :)
Michaela is a great person i know her for years. She is very energetic, talkative and helpful and her place is very well equipped with all you might need and even more. If you are looking for a good place to stay in Prague for a good price this will be the right choice for you. Highly recommended!
I would highly recommend staying here. Great location and an excellent host.
Michaela is a very special person i know for years. If Prague was not my hometown, she would be the first contact i ask if i need to stay here. Besides her kindness, she's very responsible and careful host and also experienced traveller with a lot of recipes to taste and interesting stories to share.
I met Michaela while staying in Prague in July of 2011. She was a wonderful hostess, really made me feel welcome, and was altogether terrific. She is the kind of person who will take the time to make your experience a great one. I spent a good amount of time with her, talking and going about Prague, and found her to be very thoughtful and trustworthy. I recommend her completely and without any hesitation.
With a perfect location, friendly flat mates and a nice big bed I can recommend Michaela's guest room to anyone. The apartment is on the edge of the city center, giving you easy access to all top destinations as well as nice quiet parks to relax. Michaela is really nice and accomodating and she has some good tips on locations to visit in Prague.
That place is one of the most comfortable and relaxing I've been in.
You can reach everything in Prague in minutes, maximum half an hour, by metro; you can walk and forget public transports if you want. You've got all you need in your own room... and it makes you focus sharply (well, I was visiting Misha while in Prague for a conference, and this was crucial for me).
Her as a host...well, she makes really easy to feel comfortable. Independent, flexible, and ready to follow you spontaneously if you've got some needs.
Michaela is a great person to hang out with!! When we stayed with her she gave us great suggestions on what to see, how to get there and most importantly, which bars are worth going to! She is just a very interesting person with some great stories! I felt I really got to feel the local atmosphere this way. The room was also very nice and bright and totally livable, and I walked to City Centre (and even all the way to the Castle) from her place everyday and it was totally doable, so I managed to see most of Prague without using public transportation. I would totally stay there again.
