Hi there, my name is Chris and I look forward to coming to your city! I am a 35 year old Facilities Manager for the State of Florida in Tallahassee. I graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Florida State University. Prior to that, I spent eight years in the US Navy.
My girlfriend and I spend our vacation time traveling to different cities in the US, and hopefully abroad when the opportunity affords itself. We are the type of travelers who would rather see a few things well, than rush through everything there is to see. We are also bonded by our love of great food. We love great restaurants, but tend to focus on local deli's and hidden food gems where we are visiting.
I also have a serious and apparently irreversible obsession with snow! I grew up in Orlando, FL, where clearly there was none, and have been seeking it out ever since. My girlfriend does not get this, as she grew up in Missouri where snow was abundant. A couple of years ago, we were in a motel in Kirksville, MO where she went to college. The forecast called for snow, although there was none yet. She was very confused when she woke up to me checking out the falling snow, at 4 A.M., outside our hotel window. She went back to sleep while I went between the motel lobby and parking lot, striking up a conversation with a TSA agent on his way to Kansas City, taking advantage of the continental breakfast.
I also like mountains, beaches, wind turbines in the plains and architecture. I have stayed in hostels and 4-star hotels[I'm not a millionaire :-)] and I prefer the former. There's something about the experience of interacting with people in a smaller environment that appeals to me. I think that's why we are all here.
Feel free to ask any questions and I look forward to sharing your space with you!
