I'm a journalist living in Hong Kong. I grew up in Mumbai, India and studied in the United States.
Nice apartment in great area of Hong Kong, with easy access to transport and lots of great restaurants, bars and shops in close proximity. Quiet building, helpful guard at entrance, easy key pickup. Recommended.
Easy to navigate location, reliable WiFi, large bed comfortable bed (against the usual firm smaller beds that plague Asia venues). The laundry across the street was super convenient. Really enjoyed the slow migration into a quiet neighborhood, slightly tourist, to finally business/shopping area walk down from Central to the ferry terminal. Got a tad told in the winter season, the available heater quickly fixed this up.
My mother stayed at Abheeks apartment for a few days. She told me that it is a nice flat in a real great part of the town.
The communication with Abheek was very friendly and the appointments worked well.
Nice apt, easy access and clear directions. Even made an egg sandwich for myself, thanks Abheek!
The apartment was in the perfect location on Hong Kong Island. There were many restaurants, bars, shopping and temple's in close proximity but you are not in the middle of all the action. It was quiet and you felt safe because there is a doorman and you need a code to get in the building. Abheek also gave us some great suggestions on where to eat and what was nearby. Overall it was a great experience and we would love to stay again!
Clean, tidy apartment close to everything and easy to find. Air conditioning works well (thank goodness), and there is plenty of room for a single or couple, in the context of tiny Hong Kong.
Second bedroom might suit a child, but it was really useful as a luggage/dressing room.
Check-in was a breeze, and Abheek sent several emails to ensure everything went smoothly. His recommendation for foot massage was spot on!
Would certainly stay here again.
Abheek gave us thorough instructions before our departure from Singapore & welcomed us at his place. Too bad we didn't get to hang out as he seems like a person who has quite a few interesting stories to share.
The only downside of this place is that it's so cozy and so well equipped with good books that it makes one want to stay at home.
Abheek's apartment is perfect for a short term or extended stay in Hong Kong. In my opinion this is one of the best areas to reside in HK - it's close to all the best offerings in town including bars, restaurants, cafes (the best bakery in HK is 100m away). Transportation couldn't be easier as well.
In terms of the apartment itself, it was clean and cosy. Abheek is very organised and had everything prepared for me, even though the booking was extremely late notice (a matter of hours). He was also very accommodating when my flight was delayed by 7 hours after checkout. I would highly recommend Abheek's apartment to anyone traveling to HK.
Although I did not get the chance to meet Abheek living in his home for 5 nights was a real joy. The apartment itself is very central and near to a variety of nightlife, cafes, and restaurants. But it's just far away enough so that sleeping at night is very quiet. Abheek was very accommodating and always responded to my messages quickly. I would recommend others to stay here as well!
Abheek is very organized and everything was hassle free. His apartment is cozy and clean, with everything you'll need: Wifi, cable tv, full size fridge and full size shower. Very private building and unit. Windows everywhere make it feel much larger than it is. Highly recommend staying here!
Abheek is a very polite and respectful guest. Communications with him is very pleasant from the begining. He took great care of the room. I highly recommend hosting him!
Abheek is a very good communicator. He contacted me whenever there was a need to be addressed, and I was grateful he did!
I recommend Abheek as a great guest.
Abheek and I know each other through university and are neighbors in Hong Kong. He's a gracious host and his 2-BR apartment is roomy, comfortable, and has just about everything you need for a comfortable stay in the city. The location is super convenient—just right up the street from the antique section of Hollywood Road, right outside the historic Man Mo Temple, and a 5-minute walk away from Soho/LKF—but located in a quiet enough location that you can get a very good night's sleep. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!
