Hiking, Biking, Tennis, Travel, Fishing, Cooking, Gardening, Wine Tasting--We've Got It All

Martin and Rene are hospitable hosts, good cooks, gardeners, and avid travelers. We've hosted several exchange students, friends, and friends of friends over the years. Our college age kids are off at school, or off on their own--leaving us with a big, quiet house.

Hosting through AirBNB has been a wonderful and enriching experience. We've learned about people and cultures (South Africa, which we then visited; Iran, Australia; lavender farming in the South of France; cricket; cheesemaking; and many others.)

Our interests include entertaining, reading, water sports, hiking, biking, fishing (Martin, t
hat is), traveling, contemporary quilting (Rene, that is), music, and gardening. And people!

We have a Golden Retriever, Zack, who is 7 and loves people. He gets better reviews than his people do.

We love our local wines and can suggest many wonderful wine itineraries, and sometimes go tasting with our guests.

We have an array of kining and biking right out the door. Mount Diablo is adjacent to our home, as is open space for some lovely hikes.

Breakfast is a casual affair with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, coffee and tea available. When we can coordinate schedules, we're happy to prepare a hot breakfast for you. There is always good quality coffee, tea, milk and ther other important bits to get your day started.
