Great experience in cozy cabin! The kids had a ball & the apartment close to local amenities including one of the best bakeries in Adelaide! Scott was great always on hand. Thanks Scott!
Scott was very helpful during our stay with information about the neighbourhood. The assistance extended to giving us a lift to the city so we could collect cycles that we hired. The accommodation is situated in a residential street someway outside of the city but if you are fit and healthy there is a lovely riverside walk into the city taking 1/2 an hour. Adelaide is a quiet tranquil city with a relaxed feel and a real focus on fitness with well set out cycle lanes on roads and a fantastic riverside cycle route that takes you all the way to the sea !
The accommodation was as per the listing and is compact and tidy. It is really as described and as long as you are not expecting luxury then it should serve the purpose of a short stay. I would suggest that the accommodation is only really for two people occupancy.
Excellent place to stay, nice location not too far from the city. Scott was very welcoming, made us feel at home, and was very helpful. The studio is really lovely, comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.
It was a fun weekend at Womadelaide festival and just 15 mins walk to the botanic park. If you are happy with basics comforts and a place to crash after walking all day then Scott's place works. We didn't end up sleeping on the double pull out couch as a couple (would be ok for one person maybe) as wasn't so comfortable but up in the loft on 2 single beds as these were fine but space didn't allow us to push them together. We were on a budget so it worked for the 4 nights.
Is a good place for younger travellers but not as comfortable as we would have liked. Scott was a good host and made us feel welcome.
Firstly, thank you Scott for such a brilliant stay at your cabin in St Peters. I stayed here with two friends while we did a run at the Adelaide Fringe in February 2015.
We couldn't have wished for a more generous and kind host during our stay, from his offers of any assistance to help us on our journeys, to joint barbecues in the evening where we took such pleasure in socialising and getting to know Adelaide!
The cabin is beautiful, clean, tidy and unique. It has all the essential facilities, including a barbecue and outside dining area. It comfortably sleeps four too and the air con worked really effectively during the hot days and nights!
Location wise we were travelling everywhere on foot. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from a big supermarket, gym and pharmacy etc. in Walkerville. There is an incredible and affordable bakery about 3 minutes away right next to the bus stops which run every half hour, or every hour in the evening, so if you time it well you can get into town in 10 minutes. Or there is a beautiful and easy walk that includes going through the Botanic Gardens that takes around 30/35 minutes to reach central Adelaide. Taxis home at night cost us about $12 too.
We would without a doubt recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a stay in Adelaide. The area is so peaceful and delightful and you will feel completely at home and at ease in Scott's care.
Hopefully we can one day return!! Thanks again.
Scott welcomed me warmly and left some breakfast stuff in the fridge for me as I arrived late in the evening. He was very helpful and friendly and made me feel at home during my stay. The cabin was clean and self sufficient with whatever one may need. I definitely recommend the place. Thanks a lot Scott
Scott was a great host, and he was more than happy to let us drop our gear off before the standard check-in time. The cabin contained everything we needed and Scott gave us some great tips on the local area and the best way to get around.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay again, highly recommended.
Thanks Rhett. Much appreciated. Cheers
Unfortunately we were unable to use our booking at Scott's due a death in the family which necessitated a rapid change in our holiday plans. Scott was extremely understanding and accommodating about this last minute change, however, and the ease with which we were able to get hold of him and communicate the change really helped us in an otherwise stressful situation. Thanks, Scott.
Well, well, well, Scott, I don't think em and I could thank you enough, we felt more at home then anything, loved every moment shared between us and with you.
We were comfortable enough, the little shack was so cosy that we forgot we were even in another state!
Loved the fact we could be as loud as possible and still there was no issue whatso :)
Great little place close to the city, convenient and well priced, there is no surprises, you basically get what you paid for only this has flare and individuality :)
We hated we actually had to leave, such a great stay was had. Next time we are in town we'll be back to say hello!
Scott was an excellent host. We stayed with him for a month, and we couldn't have imagined a better place. The cottage including thre garden were very cozy and provided everything we needed. If there was something else we needed or wanted to know Scott was quick to provide us with help. We had a great time there it was a true pleasure getting to know Scott!
Thanks Guys. Best wishes.
