Scott is super easy going and communication with him before and during our stay was absolutely effortless. The Cabin is located in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood but you can get to the CBD in no time. An Uber Black will set you back $25, a taxi $18 and there's a bus stop nearby too. There are plenty of unrestricted car parking spots available on the street in front of Scott's house. All in all, very good value for money and I'd happily stay there again.
Sweat place with everything we need. Scott is a very nice guy. He give us many kindly help that we really appreciate. Hope we have chance to be there next time.
Steve was not around, which is a shame, but he left instructions and Jake was around to help us. The unit is lovely and fully self-contained. 6 of us( 3 kids and 3 adults) fitted in comfortably. There's even a rocking horse, which our youngest love to take a ride on every so often. lovely chinese and BBQ takeaway just 2 streets down. There's the playground on the next street and a lovely park nearby.
Great place, great guy. Fun to stay there. Everything as advertised. Host was more than helpful.
Scott was a very friendly and welcoming host, and the cabin was very cosy, with the basic amenities available. However we found it a little small for visitors with large luggages; it would be great otherwise for visitors travelling with smaller backpacks.
Great experience in cozy cabin! The kids had a ball & the apartment close to local amenities including one of the best bakeries in Adelaide! Scott was great always on hand. Thanks Scott!
Scott was very helpful during our stay with information about the neighbourhood. The assistance extended to giving us a lift to the city so we could collect cycles that we hired. The accommodation is situated in a residential street someway outside of the city but if you are fit and healthy there is a lovely riverside walk into the city taking 1/2 an hour. Adelaide is a quiet tranquil city with a relaxed feel and a real focus on fitness with well set out cycle lanes on roads and a fantastic riverside cycle route that takes you all the way to the sea !
The accommodation was as per the listing and is compact and tidy. It is really as described and as long as you are not expecting luxury then it should serve the purpose of a short stay. I would suggest that the accommodation is only really for two people occupancy.
Excellent place to stay, nice location not too far from the city. Scott was very welcoming, made us feel at home, and was very helpful. The studio is really lovely, comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.
It was a fun weekend at Womadelaide festival and just 15 mins walk to the botanic park. If you are happy with basics comforts and a place to crash after walking all day then Scott's place works. We didn't end up sleeping on the double pull out couch as a couple (would be ok for one person maybe) as wasn't so comfortable but up in the loft on 2 single beds as these were fine but space didn't allow us to push them together. We were on a budget so it worked for the 4 nights.
Is a good place for younger travellers but not as comfortable as we would have liked. Scott was a good host and made us feel welcome.
Firstly, thank you Scott for such a brilliant stay at your cabin in St Peters. I stayed here with two friends while we did a run at the Adelaide Fringe in February 2015.
We couldn't have wished for a more generous and kind host during our stay, from his offers of any assistance to help us on our journeys, to joint barbecues in the evening where we took such pleasure in socialising and getting to know Adelaide!
The cabin is beautiful, clean, tidy and unique. It has all the essential facilities, including a barbecue and outside dining area. It comfortably sleeps four too and the air con worked really effectively during the hot days and nights!
Location wise we were travelling everywhere on foot. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from a big supermarket, gym and pharmacy etc. in Walkerville. There is an incredible and affordable bakery about 3 minutes away right next to the bus stops which run every half hour, or every hour in the evening, so if you time it well you can get into town in 10 minutes. Or there is a beautiful and easy walk that includes going through the Botanic Gardens that takes around 30/35 minutes to reach central Adelaide. Taxis home at night cost us about $12 too.
We would without a doubt recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a stay in Adelaide. The area is so peaceful and delightful and you will feel completely at home and at ease in Scott's care.
Hopefully we can one day return!! Thanks again.
