We are Diane and Andrew, and our daughter Caylee. Our son Mat, lives in Brazil. We have been visiting Playa del Carmen for almost 13 years, and other areas for many more. Our thing has been travel, and a persistent search for a place to purchase a second home out of the US. In all our travels, we have never found another place to take the place of Playa del Carmen. So, we purchased our beautiful spacious second home in what we feel is the absolute best location on the Yucatan Peninsula; in the gorgeous gated and protected community of Playacar, in Playa Del Carmen. We can walk to downtown playa or the ocean in about 7 minutes, or take an inexpensive cab ride in no time at all. And finally, it's only 45 minutes from the International Airport in Cancun.

We absolutely love the weather, as our main home is located in the freezing mountains in the northeast portion of the US. We never tire of the stunning beauty of the blue-green carribean ocean and white clean sand in Playa, and add to our substantial collection of sea shells from long walks on the beach. We indulge in $25 an hour massages a couple times a week, visit some of the fabulous shops, occasionally eat a fresh whole Red Snapper grilled over an open fire at one of the popular beach restaurants. We also love to eat at one of our favorite sidewalk restaurants, and enjoy the unique international flavor of watching and meeting visitors from all over the world. There are also tons of things to do, not only for us, but for our kids. The ferry to Cozumel is about 7 minutes to walk from our ground floor condo. Cozumel has more restaurants, some fun bars, $15 real silver shops, and among the most spectacular scuba diving reefs in the world. We enjoy cooking Mexican food at our Playa home, and beating the system with a Mexican meal for two for about six bucks.

We too have experienced most of life's challenges, the general everyday hustle of living, from the costs of college educations, to surviving in small business, and a human resources career, where stress is part of the job description. We have tried to make our second home affordable, and share it with other people like us, who have limited time and resources, and looking for better quality and value for their hard earned after-tax income. Ultimately, we feel this concept works well for people all over the world, both for guest and host.
