Maddy's place was just what we needed as a comfortable and convenient place to enjoy the city from. It has a full kitchen which was a perk so that we didn't have to eat out every meal. The apartment was a little less made over for guests than other airbnb's I've been to, but it did the job well. Parking was difficult in the area (we never quite figured out where there was more than 2 hour parking) and there were some issued with wifi access. Overall though, Maddy was helpful and the place was great. Thanks!
Nice place. A bit of noise in the mornings but otherwise perfect.
Dealing with Elizabeth was simple and straightforward. Great host.
Elizabeth's place was just what I was looking for: a comfy, private place in an interesting neighbourhood to call home for a night (and half a day). She's got a small kitchen with supplies should you choose to cook in (there's a great grocery store about a block and a half away), but there are some great food trucks to choose from behind the building as well (you can see them from the window in the apartment). All day breakfast joint downstairs and a fun bar to hang out and have some brews and tasty food. Her place was clean and safe, and she left a bunch of provisions should you need them. I would definitely stay here again!
An amazingly good value apartment, surrounded by all the wonders of Portland. There's any number of excellent bars and restaurants within minutes, the streetcar line right outside the door and several bus lines running around the place. The only downside is the moderate street noise, but you're in the middle of a city so this isn't a huge surprise.
Elizabeth dealt well with a last minute change of plans on my part and was a pleasure to work with.
I stayed in Elizabeth`s apartment for a week. I really like the place. The studio is quite spacious and cozy with high ceiling. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is very clean. There is a kitchen in the room which includes refrigerator and pretty much everything for one person or two. The building is pretty close to bus line #6 which goes to down town in 15 min and 5 min to convention center and bus stop is only within 2 minutes walking distance. Elizabeth is very communicative. I have problem with WiFi and she fixed it pretty quickly. I definitely recommended!
Elizabeth was a great host. Easy to communicate with, sweet and made sure I had everything I needed. The room is simple but had all the amenities and is in a great location! A half a block from the street car and bus, plus a good cart pod is right behind the building which was among all the other food and drink options within walking distance, fantastic.
The space is small/cozy, but you're not spending much time there anyway, are you? So it'll likely be perfect for your needs. It does, however, get quite warm throughout the day & never quite cools off at night (I stayed in June). The neighborhood may look dicey but looks are deceiving. There are food carts right out back, a nice grocery store around the corner, amazing Coava coffee down the street. It's a short walk to downtown or to many great places on the East side, including the Oregon Convention Center (~15min walk or hop on the streetcar).
The tidy studio Elizabeth offers was perfect--plenty of great restaurants and coffee nearby, and downtown an easy walk across the bridges. I would recommend this spot for anyone that needs to do business downtown while still wanting to see the city and explore SE Portland. Elizabeth herself was prompt and helpful hostess.
Elizabeth was an awesome host - friendly and professional with very fast response times. The neighborhood was amazing, exactly as she described it - just a 10 min walk from downtown Portland and extremely convenient. The place was very clean and completely up to standards.
Thank you Elizabeth for enabling an amazing Portland experience! Do not hesitate in choosing to stay with her, you won't be disappointed
