Polina was very kind and excellent hostess. Apartment excellent in location and quiet neighborhood. Taxi driver recommended by POLINA, - GIORGIO- is a tremendous guy very helpful and instructive.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am really happy you had a good time and that you enjoyed!
The Petra house was a beautiful place to stay. Mary and Vasilis welcomed us with open arms and Polina was very responsive to any questions or issues we had. The view and pool was gorgeous.
If you are allergic to bees and its summer time it may not be ideal but other than that we had a good time.
Polina was very nice and met me promptly as we agreed. The place was as described.
Polina is a great host! Very helpful and informative. She also helped to arrange for pick up upon arrival at the airport.
The apartment is located near glyfada, nice place with shops, restaurants and bars.
Attractions were also accessible from the apartment via taxi.
Unfortunately, we were unable to meet with Polina but this did not detract from our stay as, through our previous texts/phone calls, we felt as though we could contact her if there were any problems. The apartment was exactly as described and the pictures did it justice. It was cozy and the outdoor veranda looking out on a private garden was an ideal spot to relax. It is perfect if you, like us, prefer a "home from home" feel rather than the constraints of a hotel!
The air conditioning in the main living room and the bedroom was great and a real bonus given the wonderful weather and heat we encountered during our stay. Also, the hot water in the apartment was instantaneous, which was also great when showering after a pleasant stint either sightseeing or relaxing on the beach!
The apartment is in a great location, close to supermarkets and a smart deli that served delicious cakes! It is a 10 minute stroll to the main cafes/shops in Voula/Glyfada but this was no problem to us as we love our walking. It was a delight to walk back to the apartment in the evening after a meal in the local restaurants, all of which served great food! The apartment is set back on a side road off the main road and at no time was traffic noise an issue. It is also well lit at night and we felt safe walking both night and day.
Although the centre of Athens and all its fantastic sights is a 1 hour tram ride away, the trip is both cheap with a single ticket costing a mere Euro 1.20. The tram stops are again only a 10 minute stroll away, run regularly and for half of the journey travels along the coast with some great views. This is easily offset by being in a great area with the advantage of being able to visit the beach whenever the fancy takes you!
We were very happy with our stay and agree that if we were to return to Athens then we would not hesitate to stay here again.
Thank you for your feedback, unfortunately i cannot understand, i wish you could send it in English.
My husband, 7 month old son and I stayed at Petra House for 3 months so we know the property well. Polina is kind and helpful and very quick to reply via AirBnB with any questions. She actually lives in Athens and runs a busy company so you are unlikely to meet her at the house in Kea - we only did once in 3 months. On the other hand her parents largely spend the summer in Kea - they also live in Athens but have a small cottage 30metres away on the same property so you share a laundry, washing line and grounds with them. Mary and Vassilius are very lovely, kind people and were wonderful with our young baby especially. Vassilius keeps the pool spotlessly clean and Mary kept us stocked up with bags of local spinach from their garden. With them always around it is useful if you have any problems with the house however this arrangement may not suit everyone so it’s worth being aware of. The house is simple but tastefully decorated and has everything you might need in terms of kitchen appliances etc. It is the lower level of another house advertised on AirBnB as Villa Thea and shares the swimming pool although it has a separate outdoor dining area at the back so you have your own space. It is in a great location - not too far from the port, supermarkets etc and near some of the best tavernas and bars but far away to feel private and peaceful. It is up a steep hill with a lovely outlook over both Voukari and Otzias and a great view of the sunset. Kea itself is wonderful - there are a lot of Athenians with holiday homes there but hardly any tourists which for us was a very good thing. It is quite affluent so the prices are not as low as on some islands but not as high as Mykonos or Santorini. There are some great beaches to explore and well marked hiking trails. The island is well suited to those with a sense of adventure as some of the best beaches are 1/2 hr - 1 hr drive away and the roads are very steep and windy and often unpaved. You definitely need your own car, ideally a 4WD. Although we didn’t use it as we brought a rental over from Athens, Polina and her parents can provide a good 4WD car at a very reasonable price. One challenge we faced was when guests arrive to stay upstairs in Villa Thea who were surprised to find us downstairs - perhaps this should be advertised more clearly? We always got along very happily with the guests upstairs we just felt awkward that they hadn’t been expecting to share the pool with another family. Our only other issue was with the wifi. One of the things that was very important to us in choosing a house was that the wifi was fast and reliable...
We did not stay there at all because of family emergency.
The place was clean and tiny and met expectations however the location was not near the beach as advertised. Initial interaction not pleasant due to host wanting to cancel the booking however we finished on a good note. Overall experience was pleasant. Thank you Polina.
Polina is a very friendly and social person and she likes to meet new people and new cultures. I remember she used to love exchanging houses during her vacation and she always told us it was amazing because people who do that have a great respect on other people's propety. I think this reason and only is why Polina is so great as a host! Her personality above all is what makes her the perfect host!
The House in Glyfada area is a brand new owned apartment very nice decorated with 2 huge balconies, 60 square meter each!
We use to arrange BBQ and have dinner enjoying the sun rise in the sea.
Glyfada is the perfect location for someone to stay, as it is one of the best area in Athens, very safe, has really nice shops & restaurant in Athens and is very close to the best beaches of Athens.
The Island houses are both amazing with big gardens and space. Kea is one of the most popular Cycladic islands at the moment after Mykonos and it is only 1 hour from Athens. No other island is so close to Athens. The house has an amazing pool and it is on a hill, in a very quiet location and at the same time very close (5 minutes drive) to the main island village where all the shops and bars are. In addition 2 of the islands most popular beaches are within 5 minute drive as well. It will be the most relaxing holidays you will ever had & the perfect host! I highly recommend Polina as a host.

Glyfada is the perfect location for someone to stay, as it is one of the best area in Athens, very safe, has the second best shops & restaurant in Athens (first is in Kolonaki) and is very close to the best beaches of Athens. It is like the Greek 'Miami' as we like to call it.
The Island houses are both very nice and fully equipped. KEa is one of the most popular Cycladic islands at the moment after Mykonos and it is only 1 hour from Athens. No other island is so close to Athens. I have stayed at both Polina's places in Glyfada & Kea. She has spent a few days in my previous home and will stay in my new place as well. Even though we met through (website hidden) I am more than willing to recommend her on Airbnb. Polina is a fun girl, and a great host. Besides this she has also shown great respect for my home. I hope to travel and meet with her many more times.
