We were really enjoying in NY at Leila apartment, it has a great view to manhattan, its comfortable, warm even in really cold season. Leila was a great host, she was really helpful, nice and she provided us a meal sometimes. There is a store nearby with food, and there are busses to manhattan every 5 min so its not hard to get to the city. Neighbourhood is nice and safe.
We would like it to stay again there.
Leila is a great person. Everything went smoothly and I arranged with her in less than 2 hours. She provided a good gift in the room including ( NYC maps, snacks, ... Etc). I think that she deserves to be SUPER HOST due to her respect, professionalism, and her clean house. I will recommend her for other travelers and will stay in her apartment whenever I come to New York City in the future !
Leila was the best host I could have even asked for. I went to NY for my first trade show, which should have been a very stressful week, however Leila did her best to answer any questions I had and to help me mitigate any problems along the way. Most days she had something delicious for me to eat, which was completely unexpected. Any problem I had, she preemptively fixed before I could even say anything. Staying with Leila was like staying with a very good friend. She keeps her place impeccably clean as well. I'd give this place my highest recommendation. Also, it should be known, the bus to get into Manhattan is incredibly easy to take in and out of the city.
What an adventure! By the time we landed (our flight was late), found our way to Manhattan, and took the bus to Jersey to stay with Leila, it was 3am! Leila was incredible! We communicated via text and she was super responsive. She didn't turn us away but instead stayed up until we made it to her place and showed us the bathroom and bedroom before we all fell asleep. And oh what a view from the bedroom! It's incredible both day and night, so we never closed the curtains! The Dove Chocolate under our pillow the 1st night was a nice touch.
The following morning, we noticed that there was even a gift basket with toothbrushes, mouthwash, snacks, maps, etc. As everyone has said, the bus was easy to take from Jersey to Manhattan ($3 for the small bus and $3.20 for the bigger bus). Leila was a brilliant host. One morning she made us a yummy breakfast, so the following morning we made her breakfast. She even shared her mama's special seasoning with us! It smells and tastes wonderful in the egg scramble. ;) It was pleasant to share stories with Leila over meals and in passing. She has traveled extensively, and she has the most interesting job! Ask her about it. :)
Halfway through the week, we did a load of laundry (located in the basement - approx. $1.75/wash & $1.50/dry). Leila let us use her detergent & dryer sheets. On the last day we had a Statue of Liberty tour and needed to leave our luggage at Leila's past the checkout hour, and she was really cool about it! We are super grateful to Leila for creating a safe and welcoming space for us as we explored New York for eight wonderful days! :]
We thoroughly enjoyed the flat and Leilas hospitality. On the weekend she even made breakfast for us. The flat was warm even at a cold time of the year and had everything we could wish for. Going to Manhattan by bus is mostly easy (about 20min to Port Authority Bus Terminal) but waiting can take substantially longer at night on weekends. We mostly had the flat for ourselves as Leila was out. People with light sleep should pack ear plugs as the room is facing the street. The view is as stunning as you see in the pictures.
We had a wonderful stay with Leila! She is a great host. Very helpful. She answered all of our questions and always keep us informed!
The room was bright and spacious. Just as described. Lovely comfortable bedding and linens. Feels like at home! Plus the view from the bedroom was amazing at night!
Also, the transportation to Manhattan is convenient. Bus stop is like one minute walk and the shuttle bus is 20 min to Manhattan.
I'll definitely recommend Leila's home and I expect I'll be seeing her again sometime in the future!
Leila was a great host for our first Airbnb experience. The apartment itself is fantastic, really spacious and exactly as it appears in the photographs. The view from the bedroom is absolutely incredible. The directons were as described and there is a bus into Manhattan about 20 meters from the front door. We never waited longer than five minutes for a bus, which takes about 15 minutes to Port Authority.
My husband and me absolutely loved our staying in this apartment. The view is incredible, the bed is comfortable and big. The apartment is clean, cozy and light. Most of all we liked the neighborhood: calm, nice, clean and safe. It was worth paying $3-3,20 for one-way bus trip to Manhattan which took 15 min. The buses stop every 5 min right in front of the house or on the bus stop in few meters from the house. Leila was a very hospitable, nice host, always ready to help.
All in all I can say that it is a perfect variant for reasonable money (especially for NYC) and it is quite close to the heart of Manhattan (even closer than to ride from some areas in NY like Brooklyn). And absolute safety and cleanness (many areas except Uptown and Midtown cannot boast of these categories) will not spoil your everyday emotions and impressions. It was always pleasant to come back after a busy day in NY.
Definitely recommend it and would stay here again.
Thanks a lot!
Leila went out of her way to welcome us to her home and provide an "at home" experience while we visited New York. The view from her apartment of the Manhattan skyline was beautiful. She has a sleep number bed in her guest room, which allowed Rosalise and I to set the firmness of the bed to match our own individual tastes. In addition to providing us with useful information about visiting various venues in NYC, Leila went out of her way to cook us several meals, which was totally unexpected on our part. As other guests have noted, the trip into New York from West New York, N.J. is a simple trip by bus costing only $3. It usually takes 30 minutes and the bus can be caught a 1/2 block from her Apt.. I would highly recommend Leila's home to anyone contemplating a visit to NYC.
We spent three marvellous days at Leila's place . She welcomed us with great hospitality and warmth. She did everything to make our stay enjoyable. On our last morning we were even served an Iranian / American breakfast.
Besides this the view of the New York
skyline was spectacular , the bus to NYC fast and frequent.
If we return to New York we will definitely contact Leila again .
