Hi everyone! My name is Fiona and I look forward to meeting you in Beijing!
The apartment is really great, it's in a safe part of Beijing and is very comfortable. They also clean every two days, so that was a great perk. However, I was disappointed that it wasn't in the location that they listed on the map. The map says that the apartment is in Sanlitun. In fact, its a 15 minute walk away from there. A great place, but a little bit of false advertising! As long as you are okay with that, this is a great place to go.
I booked this apartment because it is listed as having a gym. Unfortunately, it does not as it's shut down and no alternative accommodation was offered. Otherwise, the listing was clean, warm, comfortable bed, and convenient location. Staff easy to communicate with.
Welcome was easy. The apartment is like in the pictures. Really in downtown Beijing in the area of many embassies.
Thank you for your high praise,Dario,I am so glad that you enjoyed here!Hope you will chose us again next time you come to Beijing!
Disappointed, dirty, not even in an acceptable condition
l am sorry that you didn't have a pleasent experience in my apartment,Mr. Au,l will quite appreciate if you give your comments and advices in detail so we can make our apartment better.Hope to receive you again!
Nice apartment, great location, easy to pick up keys. Great place to stay when in Beijing.
This is a letting agent who appear to have a number of flats in the same block. The block and the rooms are run down but have all the basic facilities. There don't seem to be non smoking rooms. You go to the agent to get allocated your flat and the lady we met - Maggie - had good English and was very helpful. Its location is OK and about 15/20 minutes from the nearest subway but then close to Sanlitun. I think it is value for money but you should remember that you are not paying much to be Central and judge it accordingly. As a base, its fine.
We received an email 3 hours before our flight asking
if we would mind moving to another apartment. We were told it was still a 'great location' and 'close to subway' as per the other apartment we had booked. We were understanding of this, although it was slightly inconvenient considering we had researched our location and how to get around based on our original booking. On arrival however, we realised on entering the 'office' of Fiona that Fiona herself wouldn't be meeting us, as previously arranged, and it was being run as a company called 'Rich and Young'. We checked in with a lady called Maggie who was helpful and spoke reasonable English, who then walked us to our apartment. (Which was a good 15 minute walk away with luggage) She also gave us a card with the apartment address on in English and Chinese. On arrival at the apartment, it was much the same layout as the previous one we had booked-reasonable size, nice decor and all the amenities. It was also nice and quiet considering it was private apartments where locals lived. The problems occurred after a long first day sight seeing. It was late in the evening and we were eager to return to the apartment. After discovering the subway was unreachable by foot (at least 20 minutes, not ideal in the dark) we got in a taxi and showed him our address. He drove around aimlessly for around an hour, in which time we tried to contact Fiona, to no avail. We managed to direct the taxi driver to the Holiday Inn where we'd previously been dropped off and sought help from the staff in there. Thankfully one of the male receptionists spoke English, who could see we were very distressed and managed to research another contact number for the company. A male colleague of Fiona's came to escort us home. We then asked him to write a detailed address of the apartment in Chinese (he spoke very broken English) to avoid the same thing happening again. Over the next couple of days, however, this was a recurring problem . Fiona never returned or queried my phone call and we found communication generally very poor. When I eventually did manage to contact Fiona and explain our predicament with the address, she just stated she 'didn't understand why'. We had a fantastic time in Beijing and it was very frustrating experiencing this stressful situation with the inability to get home after a very tiring day.
Having being previously very impressed with Air BnB's services, I feel this 'company' is letting you down greatly. Air BnB prides itself on being a personal one on one service with great communication-this one however was the opposite and we thought we should make you aware of this.
She was kool, it was easy to get in, communication was in Chinese and broken English, but it works, she was very responsive.
