I am a young and friendlily writer living in Brooklyn New York. I love family, movies, and last but not least.. I love to laugh. I'm really not home a lot, and when I am-- I'm typically working. However, I love being helpful in any way that I can.

My stay at Brett's was amazing. His place is beautiful, comfy, and very homey. It's close to the train station, location was perfect. I had an wonderful time, my trip wouldn't have be possible if it wasn't for Brett. I plan on staying there everytime I get the chance when go to New York. Made a new friend. I highly recommend Brett's place, 5 stars in my book =]
i was stuck in nyc due to sandy as i missed my international flight. Brett was very efficient after our initial contact. i stayed for four days. he was available on the phone. he gave me restaurant and bar suggestions. helped me out in all ways. the room was cosy and had a tv with cable. it was bright with a lovely tree outside. the neighborhood is awesome. lots and lots around smith and court street, which are 3 min walk.
thanks brett. it was fun.
Brett was great! We booked with Brett for my friend who was visiting from South Africa. I dropped her off and met Brett personally. He was very warm and welcoming. His accommodations were very neat and tidy. He was very helpful on local restaurant recommendations. He was the best when Hurricane Sandy hit and he kept my friend safe. He even let her stay an extra day as her flight back home was cancelled. I would highly recommend Brett to anyone wishing to stay in a great, trendy Brooklyn neighborhood.
I had an awesome time staying at Brett's place in Brooklyn! It's a lovely apartment in a great part of town - there are so many places to eat and drink nearby (ask Brett for recommendations, or just wander around until something strikes your fancy - you really can't go wrong). It was really easy to get into Manhattan (which is where I spent most of my time), but there's plenty to explore in Brooklyn too. The apartment itself is really roomy (especially by NY standards) and is in a cool old building, with pretty tree-lined streets all around.
Brett was a great host - he had lots of suggestions of things to see and do in New York, and was really helpful when I had any specific queries. He wasn't at the apartment very often but made sure I felt comfortable and at ease there, as well as giving me his number to call if I had any questions at any time.
One thing I would note that wasn't in the listing is that Brett's cousin was staying here too. This was not a problem at all, as Michael is just as lovely as Brett, it was just something I was not expecting. They were both great guys to chat to - friendly and engaging, but not intrusive - I had several interesting conversations with them both, and it really added something to my New York experience that I just wouldn't have had in a hotel.
I'd definitely recommend Brett's apartment to anyone visiting New York but wanting a little separation from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. Comfortable apartment, great location, wonderful hosts - what more could you want?!!
Brett was a great host. I came in for a conference and the location is right where all the action is happening in Boerum/Cobble hill.
Really nice guy, went out of his way to be helpful with everything.
This was my first time using airbnb and it couldn't have been more perfect.
Brett was a wonderful, helpful host. The apartment is neat, very clean, cozy and I felt totally at home and comfortable. The location is exceptional with so many cafes, restaurants, and little shops to enjoy. It's also easy to get into Manhattan. I needed to extend my stay and sadly, Brett had another visitor scheduled. Otherwise, I would have gladly stayed on. Next time I'm in Brooklyn, I absolutely will connect with Brett.
I had a very nice stay with Bret ...It was a very comfortable room ..Transportation was close by...overall it was a very good choice.
I would stay there again. I would give it 5 stars
My friend and I had a wonderful time staying in Cobble Hill with Brett. The place was beautiful, spacious and clean. It was centrally located in a great neighbourhood in Brooklyn, close to subway stops. Brett was a perfect host - very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend staying here.
My nephew from the Netherlands stayed at Brett's place for almost three weeks and had such a wonderful time. The room is spacious and clean and the building is very safe and quiet but so close to all the restaurants and stores on Smith Street. Subway is just a couple of blocks away and you'll be in Manhattan in just a couple of stops. Brett and his cousin William are great hosts, they are there if you need them, very friendly and always willing to help or share information. What a great experience and we can recommend Brett's place to anybody who wants a wonderful stay in a great home in one of the best neighborhoods in Brooklyn, thanks!!

Brett was a great host. His description of his apartment was spot-on, and he responded quickly to my messages. He had a map of the subway system in the room and made it clear he wanted to help with any information about the neighborhood I needed. I would definitely recommend him!
Is an amazing friend. Whenever I'm in Brooklyn he's always so eager to accommodate me.
He always knows what's going on, makes wonderful suggestions on FREE and Fabulous entertainment. He's quiet the host and a hilarious comedian.
Staying with Bret will do the body good; his home is nice, clean and very therapeutic with laughter.
