This negative review was written after I was honest about my not-so-ideal experience of her property in a review. After I wrote this review, she wrote me a message saying that she was going to try to charge me for the damage since the drain was working properly before I arrived. Unfortunately, this message was in the same thread explaining that she had been working on this drain problem with a plumber for over a week before we arrived.
Obviously, the drain was damaged before we arrived. The kitchen and bathroom sinks were not draining and the water was sitting. The two other guests staying in the apartment's other rooms who had been there before us confirmed that it had been an ongoing problem. A plumber had already been sent a few days before our arrival to try to fix it the first time, but the problem was clearly persisting.
She asked us to be available to let in the plumber on a day we had already scheduled to be in Pompei all day. So, we couldn't be there to let the plumber in. She also asked the other 2 travelers there to stay to let the plumber in, but they also were not available. One of the travelers had stayed back the last time to let the plumber in, and didn't feel it was his responsibility to do it again. It's not that we refused to help, it's that we already had train tickets to Pompei. Raffaela never tried to schedule a time that did work us or the other tenants complaining about the drain. We did help by clearing the sinks ourselves by filling mixing bowls with the sitting water and emptying it outside.
I hope those reading this review will see how different it is from all the others and recognize that this is clearly a "retaliation."
