I am a two-kids mother. I lived and worked in Hong Kong.
Every year I'll travel to different cities.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing advice and recommendation about this wonderful city.
Our family of 5 stayed at Sally's HW for 4 nights on the last week of Feb 2014. We did not meet Sally but an elderly couple check us in. The host was generous to allow us early check in and late check out as the place was not occupied on the check in and check out date. This place is safe as the building where Sally's HW is, is secured by a locked glass door and guarded by a security staff. Though a few of the neighbouring premises are bars and massage parlours, those people do not disturb passer-bys. It is a very convenient place with many restaurants and an underground train station and bus stop for airport bus nearby. Thanks to the hosts.
we were a Group of 6 people who went to HK for a congress, the Flat is very good, it was near the HKCEC (5 to 10 min walk), it was also near the Shopping area, its 1 min walk to Wan chai st.
All and all it was a lovely flat, Not big but it was enough for the 6 of us.
2 bathroom and a nice little kitchen, although we didn't get to cook, as there are many restaurants near by.
Getting there from the airport and back was very easy, Check-in and out was very easy with us.
Over all it was a nice Stay in HK at this Flat.
Upon arriving at the apartment, one of Sally's friends was there to meet us and show us the apartment including use of wifi and washing machine (which was very handy as I was halfway through a month long holiday). The showers were confusing as it took my group over an hour to realised that the bath tap had to be rotated to right for the water to be directed through the shower head. The building itself was a little worn out externally but internally the apartment was in good condition. Every now and again a strange smell would emanate from the drains in the bathroom probably due to the old age of the buildings plumbing but it was barely noticeable. The fourth bedroom containing a single bed resembled Harry Potter's closet under the stairs more than an actual bedroom but this was not an issue as there was space in the other rooms to accommodate my party of 7. The apartment size was decent but managed to just fit 7 people in the living room. Overall, the price was a fantastic fit for my group's budget and is located in a convenient location. I would recommend this to medium sized groups looking for moderately priced accommodation in pricey Hong Kong.
We enjoyed our stay at the David house location in wan chai. It suited our large group . It is close to the Wan Chai MTR station,. Only concern was a pub located on the ground floor which had people drinking outside, thus making access a little bit of a concern with our younger members of our group.
Sally was great as she replied promptly to all my questions and was easy to find. In fact we had booked 1 night short. The extra night was quickly and easily sorted out, so saved us a lot of potential hassles.
Sally's place was exactly what it is shown on its listing. We were a group of six (6) two boy, two girls and one couple. The room with the queen size bed went to the couple, the upper bunk bed was shared by two girls and the lower one was occupied by one guy while the sofa bed(it was pretty hard and not really comfortable) was occupied by the other guy. I would recommend this space for a group of four people since there is only one shower and it is quite small.
Over all for the price we paid, we got our moneys worth. It was near the MTR which made everything very convenient.
Sally is very highly recommended. Good place and very nice for Hong Kong standard. And she also very friendly and helpful. Nothing much to say, just very highly recommended! The place in a very good location. 2 thumbs up for Sally and her place.
I was travelling with a 13 months old baby, and 4 adults. The apartment was clean and as described, the location was great, n even though it wasnt really spacious, but it comfortably fits up to 6 persons.
Sally and Basa were very helpful n responsive. My grandmother left her wallet at the apartment, n when we informed them this, they responded quickly. They found the wallet n sent us the photo of the wallet just to make sure, n actively communicate with us as how to send the wallet back to us.
We all had a great time staying at the apartment. Thanks Sally.
It was a lovely studio to stay. clean place, warm shower, convenient stuffs and nice staff. It was really good to experience local life.
The best part about this flat is the location - it is literally across the street from the MTR station making for extremely convenient access to all the major attractions - it's also walking distance from the Wanchai Star Ferry station. Sally is an incredible host and was very responsive to all of my questions and requests. The apartment itself was a good fit for our 5 adults - it could have fit one more but beyond that would get a bit tight. It was also fairly quiet and a good home base in general. Note that this apartment is on the edge of the red light district
The apartment was in an excellent position. Very handy to transport and restuarants. Sally was very helpful and everything went according to plan..We would love to visit again. Thank you Sally & Friends from Judy Parker & Family
