My name is Sirinya and I am from Santa Monica, CA, where I live with my husband Juan. I work for UCLA in fundraising. I love exploring new neighborhoods, searching for new eats, and riding the bus, my bike and my Xootr scooter (even here in LA, which has its reputation as a car city). As a guest, I'm pretty independent, but I also like meeting new people and making new friends.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and came of age in the San Fernando Valley. After graduating from Smith College, where I earned my BA in Economics, I worked as a policy researcher in Washington, DC for three years. Then I returned to UCLA to earn my MA in urban planning with a focus on transportation demand management. I'm currently completing a certificate in fundraising at UCLA Extension and I serve on the board of the Southern California Streets Initiative, which is the no nonprofit that publishes LA Streetsblog. In my free time, I love to ride my Xootr Scooter, read, find Thai food, and watch TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, Community and Clean House.
