Colin was the perfect host, very helpful and accommodating. Four of us fit comfortably in the cabin and although we had to walk across the yard for the bathroom, everything that we needed was in the cabin. It's a little ways from the city center, but using the bus was pretty easy and not a big deal. The family was very fun and one could almost get the full Irish experience without leaving the cottage. They helped us a lot in planning and gave us very useful tips and advice for traveling. Staying here will make anyone feel very much at home!
Colin and Teses were a very nice ade helpful host couple. Their kids are nice and their dogs adorable.
The cabin is heated up with an open fire, but they helped us to get it going and even prepared it so the cabin was warm when we got back from the city.
It cost us approximately €50 to get there from the airport with a cab.
We bought a Leap card in town the first day, and from then on we took the bus to town. The bus (number 15, leaves every 10-15 minutes until 23.30) takes about 20-30 minutes depending on rush hour etc. and it takes some 10 minutes to walk to the stop from the house. There is a Lidl close by which is fairly cheap.
There is an outdoor bathroom, but we never had to use it, because they would leave their backdoor open for us to get to the bathroom, and to the kitchen (where the wifi is).
We were very happy to stay there!
Good small place if you need a place to sleep. Colin was a great host and did everything he could to make the stay pleasant. Warning: the heating is a wooden chimney, it worked fine for us, we just had to reload it halfway through the night. Nice neighborhood. Dublin is expensive, so if you need a descent and safe place to sleep close to the center, this is it.
Colin and his family extended us a very warm welcome. I would really recommend this stay to anyone with small children. Our kids played together and that made it all a lot easier. The breakfast was lovely with very yummy homemade bread. The cabin has no plumbing. It is very cozy and the stove provides ample and wonderful warmth. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Thanks Colin!
Nice and cosy. Fantastic breakfast and lovely hosts
Lovely time in the cabin, shame our trip was so short! The fireplace and vinyl player really made the experience and Colin and his family are really lovely hosts! Would love to visit again!
We had a lovely stay :) Cabin was spacious and extremely comfortable. Lovely get away. Colin was an unbelievable host. Would definitely return.
We had a great experienced staying at Colin's. The cabin is very cosy and comfortable. The family was very welcoming and we also received helpful tips about places to go and how to get around. A really great trip!
My short stay here made me feel like I was at home, The Cabin is so sweet and comfortable, I wish I could stay longer there. Colin's family is so sweet as well. I will come back for sure there.
Colin and Therese made us feel very welcome. The cabin is just as advertised, the home gym's a treat, and it's an easy trip into Dublin from their place.
Colin and his family are lovely ,I would recommend them to everyone, the children are so well behaved and it was a pleasure having them stay
Colin and Therese were a delightful couple. We had evening chats by the fire and the account of their garden wonderland with its rare ducks and chicks and funky wooden house for guests, sounded magical. Might appear soon on airbnb! Yes, would recommend them without hesitation. Davnet
