Comfortable, convenient to all northeast-of-La locations, pleasant place to stay. Host was communicative & helpful. There was one thing I didn't realize until arriving that I would have liked to know in advance: This is the host's home, not a dedicated rental, a situation I hadn't before encountered with airbnb.
Yeah! I live here and stay with my sister when i rent out :) thanks for staying at my place!
Rebecca was a wonderful host! She was easy to get in contact with, prompt with responses to questions about her home, and met me at the unit to cover all the basics of where things were and how things worked. Wonderful host, I highly recommend her!
Rebecca was very accommodating!
Rebecca was absolutely wonderful. I was in town to take the bar exam, so stress levels were up, and every set back I encountered, Rebecca helped me through. Her place was clean and stacked with everything I needed, including yoga mats! I highly recommend Rebecca's hospitality :)
This was my second stay at Rebecca's place. She is a wonderful hostess. Very accommodating and caring. Always prompt in her communications. When I made the unfortunate mistake of locking my bicycle outside overnight (Don't do this in Pasadena.) she was very helpful in filing a police report. She is great! The apartment is near Caltech campus, where I was visiting, and it has an aesthetic that suits me well.
I would happily stay there again.
thanks for the great review. the smell=magnesium oil/vitamins!!! im a health freak! good to know about the yoga mats. ha no wonder the smelled off. haha thanks!
Rebecca was a great host. Whenever I had questions (this was my first AirBnB gig) she was very quick to reply. She was always friendly and welcoming. The apartment was clean, organized, and much to my liking. I would be happy stay there again.
The apartment was as advertised. It is a cozy little place with a sparse aesthetic that I liked. Imagine a mini yoga studio with art student decor and an attached little kitchen, bedroom, and bath. It was a nice place for yoga in the morning and it was a quick bike ride to Caltech. I prefer a simple lifestyle and Rebecca's place was great for me. It has no TV but great internet!!
There was a heat wave (>100F) when I visited, but the AC and ceiling fans were able to handle the heat load.
The place is next to the highway, which in LA means the constant rumbling of traffic and tractor trailers. I was not used to it and kept the windows closed for much of time to avoid the noise in the morning. This apartment is part of a four unit building. I never saw and rarely heard the neighbors in the other units. It had a private entrance and a porch with plenty of space to lock a bike.
I understand that I was Rebecca's first rental. She deserves 5 stars for her efforts. She was very conscientious. Still the overall experience has to factor in the highway noise and the location, factors beyond her control. That brings down the score a little. I wish the rating was more fine grained.
