When I was young my family moved from corn and cows Wisconsin to southern Arizona. In "84 I came to Tucson to study Art and Music at the University of AZ. Later I worked happily as a field archaeologist for several years until I had my first awesome son to care for. I've been practicing yoga and meditation since 1978 and began teaching hatha yoga in 1998. I have always been inspired to help people experience a comfortable and mindful life. This I can do through teaching yoga as a stress management tool, through my float business and through hosting guests in our airbnb apt.
My husband came to Tucson from New York City in "78 on a lark with a friend, loved the desert, then he adopted Tucson as his new home. Dan, was educated back east in math and sociology but in his heart he is a singer/songwriter of western folk music. I think he's a funny and clever songwriter! Dan's band is called The Blue Prairie Dogs. For several years we home schooled our boys. Now #1 son is in college and #2 son started 4th grade in at The Waldorf School and he's loving it. As a family, we're lovers of animals and care for 2 friendly dogs and 2 bunnies. We tend to lead a healthy lifestyle, munching organic foods, mindful TV viewing, etc, but we are relaxed about it. Yeah, you know the type ;-) Oh and vacations for us are about spending time in nature, hiking, biking , caving, swimming, star gazing, science and history museums, or meditation retreats.
