Mary, I also have to be honest and correct many of the things you have written. There were not 3 people living there. I was in Martha's Vineyard for the bulk of your stay. I was there for the first days to ensure all was well- in which you told me it was. There was never mention of you sleeping on the floor, a dirty bathroom or going to a hotel. Our bathroom was cleaned thoroughly by me before you arrived. Perhaps, since it is an older bathroom you mistaken that for dirty. The neighborhood is safe. There are a great amount of black people, if that make you uncomfortable that is beyond my control. I was present in the apartment the first few days, so if you felt uncomfortable I was available to talk to and always approachable. You left your suitcase in my apartment the last day so that you could explore more in NYC- why do this if you were at a hotel and you didn't feel safe here.
Your opinions are yours to have. But, I find them to be motivated by a dislike of my community here in Bedstuy. They are not all based on honesty and if you are ever in Brooklyn again, I would suggest researching the demographics of the
communities in which you'd like to stay.
